Is it getting hot with continuous use or hot off of one hit. With continous use at 10w you should be creating some heat, but it shouldn't be scolding hot. Also what are you running it on?
What sort of resistance are you getting with dual 12-14 wraps of 32 gauge? Sounds like a setup that might run hot, and atomizer bases will warm up from coil heat.
How are you managing to pack two coils into a PT2? Can you post a pic?

How do you get dual coils in a PT II head?? I can barely get one in there w/12 wraps. You got a pic??
i am a heavy vaporer, (i can go through about 2 or 3 tanks a day) it just taste so good, but with single coils it don't get as hot
not sure how to post a picture, but with duel coils and cotton wick it does tast good.
no choc_addic, never seen one like that. wish i knew how to send a picture. i use 1 single peaces of wire for each coil, wrap around a 1/16" peice of wire, insert 3 strands of cotton wick through each coil, insert 1st coil and place 2 strands of cotton on top, then insert 2nd coil with cotton wick on top, replace chimney,and test.

You have a lot of wire to heat up before the liquid starts to vaporize. So it's gets warmer before its gets hotter. You are also using up battery power more in doing so.
Yes, It will feel hotter (the whole tank) as compare to single coil head which heat up faster and gets to producing vaper sooner and will cool down faster (won't get the tank hot - may be warm).
Simple physic!
Might be able to reduce heating up by trying micro coil, but it will still get warm.

thank you choc_addic, still new to all this and been playing with a lot of different things. what is the definition of micro coil??
Wow...you must have a ton of patience! They're okay to sit on top of each other like that even with the cotton in between AND not touch the chimney? Impressive....most impressive.
