ok, a small problem here but its bugging me a lot just now.

got a kanger pt2 with airflow base on it, mostly using kanger vv battery. absolutely delighted with this set up, doing the job for me, especially since ive just learned to re-wick the coil with cotton...what a difference in flavour!

problem just now is, after a clean out and rewick today, i seem to have tightened the airflow adjuster thingy too much, so its now jammed at the fully open setting. as ive said not a huge problem, it vapes well at this setting, but for certain juices i prefer a tighter draw. ive tried everything from using pliers to move it, but im very wary of damaging the threads, - to stripping it down totally and soaking it, but to no avail, i cant get the dial to move. anyone else had this issue?

You could always put it in the freezer and take out after a while. Metal should contract somewhat

Reading this reminded me that mine had been stuck for the last couple of days. When it gets stuck, I just take the AFC off my Protank, so I can hold on to it better, and turn the ring with a pair of channel locks. Try not to leave the ring in the the wide open position. You can back it off a ways without affecting the airflow.

Be careful. Someone just posted about how their AFC got jammed and they ended up breaking it and blocking the airholes.

When you say you soaked it, I'm assuming you used hot water?

Lol no seriously tap the air flow control ring on a hard surface gently to see if it will loosen. Its the same concept like when a jar of jam is to tight you bang that bad boy a few times then BAM!! AS easy as pie to open

But I would recommend the version 2 of the base for better quality and yes you can just buy the base

You might use a rag on that hard surface so you dont take a chance of scratching

yup, hot water, and i am being careful, don't want to break this set up, i love it now i have (had) it working perfectly for me!

Stick it in the freezer for an hour. This will make the metal contract which could free the ring. It's worth a shot and won't damage it like pliers or vice grips could.

I ran mine under hot water and it worded better, although very stiff.
