Protank 3 Questions

So I ordered a Protank 3 yesterday...I see it has received mixed reviews, but I'm hoping it's an upgrade over the evod head I use now. I do have a couple of questions though.

1. Does anybody have replacement coils for them yet?
2. How much harder would it be to wrap my own coils considering that it's a dual coil setup?

I have not seen a protAnk 3 coil. But if it has a rubber grommet in the bottom of it. You will need a specially designed arcwelder
to properly replace the coil in it

I've been using mine since yesterday - I love it.

As far as I've seen - the replacements aren't available yet. I think I read that they will be available in the next week or two.

You can use the older Protank heads until then (from what I've read). I just a received an order of them today, so I'll try when I get home to be sure.

Glad to hear the good review. But since I don't have an arcwelder it looks like I'll be stuck buying the replacements.

No you cant use the older pt heads. the rubber grommet is too low. You will have juice flowing up the tube if you try.

If you have some knowledge of electrical engineering you can build one from a disposable camera there are a number of diagrams and walk-throughs on how to do so on the Internet

Well, I did study EE in college for two years before partying far too hard. That sounds like an awesome MacGyver project to undertake, thanks for the tip.
