Protank 510 base replacements

FYI for everyone who like me has sat on their Protank and broke the 510 connector on the base, you can now get replacements here

Wow, they must be really proud of that to charge 15.50 but the stronger design and less airy draw may appeal to some enough to pay almost what a whole new tank would cost.

Maybe this will force a redesign by Kanger?

They already have. There's a new version out with a few changes ranging from a stronger base to reduced draw.

Hmmm, the pictures in that link didn't show the base. There's a review on the Tatroe link that jfountain2 posted that says their version has no holes in the 510 connector, making it stronger. Instead there is a single hole through the side of the main body that threads into the tank.

Have no idea. I have 4 of the first version and just ordered two of these tanks. If I do the fumble fingers thing and break one, hopefully I'll get a redesigned one on ordering so it can be tested properly.
