ProTank Mini 2 dilemma.....

OK, I am confused. I got the protank mini 2 and the adapter, put it on my Triton tank and it looks stupid. It does fit flush to the tank? Huge gap! Not very attractive at all....am I doing something wrong? I got the correct adapter. Help, please!

Yes it does but I won't be using that...it's ugly. I surely won't take it out in public.

I wonder if the ego thread covers work on these? Since some ego toppers fit on the larger vgo threads
