This is for a friend of mine. He's got a protank mini. Nothing but problems. He fills the thing without a needle by dropping liquid in the bottom on the sides so it drips down through the holes. He lost the needle I gave him. But he says when he puts it back together, all the liquid stays at the top, even when it's not upside down. He has to keep blowing it out I guess.

I gave him a protank mini and 10 heads and an atom mod as an upgrade from his ego. But the damn thing is more troublesome than anything. His tech support hours are UP with me. LOL.

I just don't know what to tell him. Seems this stuff is no more reliable than a few years ago.

Perhaps something simpler that you don't have to mess with as much? I'm tempted to give him an AGA T2 but this guy is clumsy as all hell and he'll be knocking the thing over constantly and loosing all his juice.

Tough for me to diagnose over the phone. I tested it out before I gave it to him, worked like a champ. Matter of fact, I liked it so much I ordered 5 regular size protank 2's.

Strange. I'm lucky I guess since I've never had a single issue with my ptm's. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the head gets a bit loose on the base when he unscrews everything to refill and somehow it creates a vapor lock. Give the chimney a tiny twist to be sure it's not wobbly before putting the base back on and flipping it over after filling.

Gravity defying e-juice? Tell him that he needs to thaw it before he can vape it. Or that he can't bring his vaporizer with him to the International Space Station. :D

But seriously, how is that even possible? If something stops the liquid from running to the bottom, I would excpect it to be both visible and obvious.

I don't know. I don't think he's putting enough juice in it. He seems to think if it's too full, it starts to flood and he's getting juice in his mouth. I told him flat out. All of this stuff sucks. It really does. It's going to take another 100 years before it's anywhere near perfection and in the mean time, you gotta mess with stuff constantly. If you want something like the protank or the kayfun which supposedly don't leak, you have to be prepared to mess with them.

I just use the AGA's. They work, you can't tip them over, but they provide a solid vape and you don't have to mess with it constantly. Anything that is advertised as leak-proof is complete BS, including the Kayfun which leaks a little out of the air hole here and there.

Yeah I know. I got my first KFL clone today (a SvoëMest [sic], at least that's what the logo says). I'm actually impressed with myself that I already got it vapable. :p But leak proof it is definitely not, and it's going to take some time to learn how to top fill it without getting half a millilitre of e-liquid all over my hands.
