I tried to quit smoking and came to this forum a few years ago. Failed miserably and though happy for all the people here who were cigarette free ... I ended up back on them. To my surprise my eGo is still working and so is my old 510. Unbelievable but I see that times have changed and I was excitedly awaiting my new Ego Twist 1000 mAh and my Protank Mini2's. I was hoping that I will succeed this time but I may have started again only to fail again after reading some of the posts here. I hope I am one of the lucky ones who loves their Protank Mini2 and finally get off the cigarettes.

I have one thing in my favor. All I have to compare my new stuff too is a 4 year old 510 and a 3 year old ego with atomizers. Surely my new stuff will be a big improvement.

My setup is exactly the same (with the exception of the changes I noted above) and it's worked so far. I'm still checking things out and will be trying some other equipment and different juices but what I have works good enough to keep a 30 year smoker away from the analogs for six days now. I'm using the 24 mg strength nicotine and I've found that if I feel stressed, if I do the same thing I used to do with cigs it helps. So now, instead of going out to the garage and smoking a cigarette, I go out to the garage and vape until I feel like the nicotine is working. But the added bonus is that I don't have to stick to that routine with vaping as it doesn't smell and stain up the house like the cigs do. So if I want to just top off the nicotine level, I can take a few hits in the kitchen or wherever and feel pretty good. That you are back says to me you want to quit the cigs. Keep trying different equipment and juices until you find a combination that works. You'll probably find more support now also. I have several people at work who I see and talk to in the "smoking area" who are vaping. They are part of the reason I tried it. Good luck!

Molimelight,
Remember that vaping is different than a cig in regards to you feel a cigs affect instantly but delayed with vaping. I only say this because you said you vape till you feel the nicotine. If you vape till you feel it there will be more coming behind it. Just don't wan you to over nic and not enjoy vaping.

Doublek79,
Thanks for the warning. I generally take it easy when I'm vaping and half of the calming effect of it is just doing it so I don't need the immediate hit of nicotine I got from cigarettes. So it hasn't happened yet. I used to over nic on gum all of the time when I tried it to quit. I'd be "Jonesing" for some nicotine and chomping down on that gum until I started to get that queasy feeling like swallowing a bunch of Red Man juice. Vaping has been so much better than all of that! Thanks again.

Ive had my protank 2 mini w/ removable tip for about a month or so now and at first I noticed something a little stange like it was leaning to the side a bit at first I thought it was my fault for falling asleep with it in my pocket once but then I noticed as I disassembled the unit that the pyrex glass isn't completely leveled theres a high spot where the bottom touches the coil base and theres some threads exposed inside the tank is this normal or anyone else have this issue? Also the gray/black finish is wearing down turning silver or chrome.

Just love the mini protank, have 3 of them with different liquids in them. No problems yet and dont expect to have any (keeping my fingers crossed). I now have even removed the wick when vapor production gets low and replaced it with cotton. Works way better. Only been vaping for 18 days.

This forum is fantastic, so much learning here. Thanks guys

says the guy who just started vaping....laughable. you ever hear about QC? you ever hear that kanger has prob one the worst quality control procedures in the industry? they have been releasing flawed devices for years. you wouldn't know that because you JUST STARTED vaping. please dont try and school me on user error crap. the problem with ALL protanks is they allow too much air. it depends on the device its being used on and how much air flow the power source provides. with the mini because the air holes are on the body of the device, no matter what power source its screwed on to it wicks poorly. a air control would greatly increase the performance of this product or simply removing some of the air holes. removing some of the air holes will cut of the draw some what and allow more juice to come into the atomizer chamber creating a vacuum which would lead to better performance you would think... however the design kanger has come up with over and over again inhibits the ability for juice to be pulled into the chamber without severely cutting off air flow which makes the draw insanely tight ie. putting tape over 2 out of the 3 holes. the REASON the protank has such a airy draw is because in CHINA where this product is made, the eliquid sold there is mainly pg base. their eliquid is very thin so they tend not to worry about air control so much hence why they installed these "flavor wicks" because without them their juice being so thin would fall through... but i am sure you already knew that since you know so much.

second, if you think the protank is so great, you have NO idea what a good vape is then. i actually feel bad for you.

just because something is "popular" doesn't mean its a fantastic product. this has been proven in the sales industry for oh i dunno since the turn of time.

here you go smoknomocigz this video gives a new vaporer a better perspective of the value that air has.

I for one, have no real issues wicking with kanger coils minus 1 flavor wick on 50/50. There are countless instances of people praising these tanks for being amongst the best in their category...you can't compare a PT2 mini to a kayfun or something...that's just silly.

Also, you might want to tone it down a notch...you sound like a real .....
