Well, I fixed the lack of wicking that I was having on my protank rebuilds, but now that I've done that the stupid thing spits juice in my mouth all the time. Anyone have any idea why it would be doing that? Any way to quell that? I've tried experiencing with different sized flavor wicks, but it seems to persist.

How hard of a draw are you taking? Also, what method are you using for your builds? If you are drawing too hard on the tank, it will definitely "spit" into your mouth, which is gross, as I'm sure you know. Try taking longer, slower drags and see if that helps.
Not pulling too hard, I don't think that I'm exceeding my airflow. I've got an 8-9 wrap micro coil with cotton wicks, and it's on a chi you. I'ts definitely not a juice straw by any means and still produces a fair amount of vapor, it takes a fair pull to become tight.
Ok. Well, perhaps you just need a bit more wicking material. Try more wick, the Protank rebuilds really can handle it because of the way they feed juice. Just see what happens with more wick. Be sure to prime it with liquid and give it some time to soak in. Also, if you are using it on a mech, maybe you are not getting the voltage you need straight from the battery to work with your build. It could be wicking too quickly for the lower voltage provided from your mech. Play with it a bit more and see what happens.
Fair enough. If that's the case, a little bit more coil wick and possibly a larger flavor wick? I would go to a lower resistance but I don't think that the rubber grommet in the protank head will hold up.
I refit the existing coils with cotton wicking. Much better, but I find that if I only fill the tank about 3/4ths full...no gurgling or spitting...no problems. It always spits and gurgles if I try to fill it to the near top of the stem.
I have this problem with microcoil builds in protank heads if the voltage is to high. If I turn the voltage down to 4-4.2 volts it smoothes out. I build my protank micros at 2 ohms, wicked with yarn, no flavor wick.
