I bought a Vamo last weekend with a Protank. I like the Protank, like that it is pyrex and get a nice clean vape from it. But I have noticed that I seem to get more flavor and a warmer vape from my beloved eVods. I am wondering why this is, maybe a volume thing?

I have read about using the eVod coil/head on the Protank. What is the value in that?

Maybe it is just me...I want to like the Protank more - I have to fill it less, etc. But right now, in the battle between the eVod and Protank...for me, the eVod is winning.

I'm the opposite... I've got 2 evods, and 2 Protanks and I really prefer the Protank. The evods taste plasticky to me, and don't seem to produce much vapor. The evod heads seem to have a tighter draw as compared to the Protank heads, so I've been using them. I had a problem with an airy draw and whistling when using the Protank on my MVP, and finally solved it... no such problems when using them on my new Tesla.

I think I will try the eVod head on my next fill then...maybe that will do the trick.

Yeah, the airy sound makes it really hard to sneak a vape or two at my desk! I finally figured out how to vape without the giant plume and was able to get a few vapes in at my desk unnoticed, then the Protank with that "balloon losing air" sound. I have to keep an eVod at my desk for the sneak-o-vape!

I don't have a problem with the draw on the Protank, but I get a metallic taste from the drip tip. I really want to love it because I don't like tanks with cartos and I love being able to switch out the head, but I guess I'm sensitive to tasting metal drip tips.

I had this too at first...it seems to have gotten better with use. I sorta chalked it up to like seasoning a cast iron skillet or something.

Are you using the skirt that came with the Protank? If so, try twisting it up to .... against the bottom of the tank... that solved the whistling and tightened up the draw nicely for me.

The skirt doesn't work on the Vamo, I do use it on my twist though, but never paid attention to the sound difference, I will have to check that out though.

You could cover the end of the tip with a small rubber hose. Put one of those on the tip if you must. Such a pity for you to do it, my favorite thing about the ProTank is the liquid metal look of it, but I suppose taste is paramount!

So far I have not been that impressed with my pro tank. While it does produce a lot of vapor, it does not seem to bring out the flavor as well as my much less expensive boge F16. How much voltage do most of you run through yours?

About 4.5 - 4.7 volts. And I have found voltage over 4V is needed for both it and the EVOD.
