Hi everyone

Just to say I finally got my classic Provari #4507 delivered.!

totally hooked now, no chance of going back, and here it is on mega type B, just need to get a collar to fit the empty space

IMG_3644_1.jpg

It is smaller and also heavier than I thought it would be (can be a blunt defensive weapon on occasions.?) but clearly it´s a quality piece of equipment
Of course I got the extended cap to match the IMR´s as those where already in place
Had to towel / fingernail clean the threads before setting up, they where quite blackened dirty, from production I guess
I got no bonus liquid lol

Now if anyone could clear me on this (quote from user manual)
"
Battery Life:
When the battery gets low the red lighted pushbutton will slowly flash indicating that your battery is low (when will this happen? at about 3.0volt?). As the battery drops in power the flashing will increase in speed and finally when the battery is out of power the led will flash rapidly and the device will turn off to protect from over discharge (when will this happen? less than 3volt or what?). At this time recharge the battery."

All and all I´m really pleased to be club member 4507 lol

edit: I see now the 18650 battery cap does not tighten flush on the main body. A bit of a let down, I can´t think of any sensible reason for this to happen. A lighter spring tension ? 2 additional body thread turns? well...

greetings

Well mine flashes at 3.6 when i'm using the 18650, and I never have let it get to the rapid flashing before cut off. Maybe its just one of the early sensative ones. (#3425)
I just haven't been able to part with it for something so minor. Just loosen bottom cap, tighten back up and it continues for another hour or so. No biggie!! Since this has been a whole day of vaping anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5.

Sorted with help from David.!

thks man, thks guys

note: mine started slow flashing at 3.3, took battery out, early in the morning (gmt time) got it on again and for the time being flashing is gone. As far as battery chemistry´s temporary recovery that makes sense

Sorry for renaming, but mine´s has a character of its own so the birth name is provapy and that´s that! lol

I believe the flashing happens at different voltages. I believe it's dependant on current draw or lack there of. I've used a 2.2 ohm atty at 4.6 volts and get the slow flashing with battery at 3.5 volts, then with a maptank showing 2.8 ohms running 4.2 volts it don't start flashing until the battery drops to 3.4 volts. I believe the flashing starts when it has to strain a little to get enough current to power the atty at the selected voltage.

On another note, it seems like it starts flashing more frequently as it gets closer to the cutoff point. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but it seems like it.
