Battery Manufacturers ALWAYS advise FULLY charging new batteries before use.(Always!!) Since they make them, I'd think they know best.
First charge should not take that long since they are normally charged to a storage state. My last set took under 30 minutes.
Read the manual while you wait.
Fully discharge the first few uses to maximize battery life.

Enjoy your new purchase!:)

I saved it to my iPhone which also never leaves my side. I had an e8 on day one but it was a one time deal and while setting up an aga. The manual definitely helped for that
I have a Provari and AGA, too. I have found the Provari to be invaluable in helping me to set up the AGA. I bought a multimeter specifically to use for RBA's, but have yet needed to use it. The Provari can do it all.

I use it to check the ohm of the coil. It can also "see" shorts that I am unable to see; it will throw an error code at me and then I know to tease and prod the coil loops until the Provari is satisfied. I also do the pulse firing to slowly oxidize the coil, starting at the lowest voltage and increasing the voltage in short increments. The video demo that Zen did for Provape and the Z Atty Pro is excellent in showing this. Z-ATTY-PRO Rebuildable Atomizers For ProVari - YouTube
