I have a provari with the 18490 batteries and they don't seem to last long enough. I get about 6.5 to 7 hours of vape time and that's just not long enough. Should I just buy the extended cap and 18650 batteries or just a couple more 18490 batteries? Is the extra vape time worth the extra length and size and money? How much longer will the 18650 batteries last? Sorry about all the questions thank you far any advice and opinions!!!

That's about what I get if I am heavily vaping with the 18490, maybe 8 or 9 hours. If I am vaping lightly through the day I can go from 9 in the morning until I get home in the evening around 6 or 7 with no problem. I haven't got an 18650 yet so not sure about the run time on those but I imagine you should get 10-15 hours of good use...

Only you will know if you think the tradeoff is worth it.
:)

Think about mAh as if 100 mAh was equal to one hour of vape time.

Then look at the mAh of the 18490 battery you have.
And then look at the mAh of the 18650 battery you are thinking of.

The should give you a relative idea of the difference.

As far as size, tape something to the bottom of your Provari that will simulate the added length.
Maybe a wad of tinfoil filled with a rock in it to simulate the added weight.

Now you can make your own judgment.
:)

Welcome , but someone told you that a 18650 gives 3 times more vape time . I'm afraid that just isn't true . You can expect maybe 3 more hours , at best . Easier to have several of the 18490's charged up , and just change them out , when needed . The extra cost of the extension , and a few of the batteries , will run you 30-35 dollars . Is it worth it ??? You decide .

18650's, I get anywhere from at least 10 hours (at 4 - 4.5 volts or below) to about 6-8 hours if I vape high at 5.0 and above................... I'm using 1600mAh and 2000 mAh 18650's in my Lavatube.

I don't find the extra length an 18650 requires to be an issue at all, but, I never used my Provari with an 18490 battery either. I vape pretty heavy and usually change the battery each 20-24 hours (elapsed time). Hope this helps.

Pretty much the same here. I use the 1600 mAh and 2000 mAh (2 of each in rotation). I've just made a habit of changing once a day and grabbing an extra battery on my way out the door. Those little battery boxes work great for keeping it safely in my pocket with no worries.
