Hello ECF

So I bought a Provari around 6 months ago that I loved, but around 2 months ago it began producing a burnt taste. I've tried new tanks, coils, batteries, and juice. The only thing that prevents the burnt taste is lowering the voltage. I'm now down to 3 volts and can't go much lower. Is there anything I missed?

Regardless if I send it in, I was thinking of getting a mech mod as a replacement. If I bought one and put an Aspire Nautilus on it, would the only problems be worrying about batteries overcharging and depletion? If so any suggestions on a model that's...
Around or under $70
Supports 18650 battery
Preferably in stainless steel
Somewhat durable/reliable
Purchased domestically

If you think you are getting a burnt taste on a regulated mod at 3 volts than an unregulated mod at 4.2, with fresh battery, is not going to solve your problem. I am having a hard time trying to decide if this post is serious. If anything I would think you are possibly vaping too hard and sucking the juice out of your wick. What atomizer/tank are you using?

Hi helix
So to get to the bottom of the issue .... i would advise you to test your output voltage on tje provari.... it sounds like you are getting a higher voltage output than what the display is set to..... if that is the case then you have solved the riddle...... if the voltage equals what the setting is then you have a much different issue....

If the voltage is true to the setting then your toppers cant wick enough liquid to keep the coil properly fed with liquid.

As far as a mech with a Nautilus.. the worst thing you can do to any battery is to over discharge them. Get yourself some good batteries (sony vtc etc) for use in the mech and get a simple but accurate digital multi meter.... you will want to add that to your vape toolbox if it is not already in there....

Sent from my rotary phone using sheer willpower

Tanks, Protank II and Nautilus Aspire. I already used my exact battery and tanks on someone else's device at the same voltage, and there were no problems. The only thing I can think of there being a problem with is the device itself. I've damn near replaced every other thing that I could. When I ran a search I could only find one or two other people on the entire forum that are having the same problem as me, so I'm hoping it's something I'm doing.

Much appreciated I'll test the voltage tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to get a receipt from the place I bought it either way, so I can send it to Provape. Just wanted to make sure the problem wasn't on my end.
