provari fire button flashing

Hi, noob to Provari and need some help. I bought one 18650 battery from provape to go with my Provari, that battery works great. My problem happens when I use my imr18650 efest 2000mah battery, after I take a vape the fire button flashes until I take out the battery. I noticed the efest is slightly taller and wider in diameter, not sure if this is why but is the only visible distinction between the two.......please help

Sounds like it is losing connection and may need cleaning. There is a maintenance page on provape that explains.

It's brand spanking new, only have gone through two tanks of juice on it? Do you still think that's my problem? Obviously willing to give anything a shot, I just want to exhaust my options before ordering another battery

The provari button flashes when the battery needs to be charged. It first flashes slowly, then it flashes quickly and won't fire. Make sure you batteries are charged.

Thanks but Iam 110% sure it was charged. Had it on my xtar charger right before I had this issue and it was fully charged.

ProVape only recommends using the AW IMR batteries. That is the battery that the ProVari was designed to work with.

^^ This. Some people have used the efests with some success, some people have nothing but headaches with them. Either way, they're not recommended. Pick up an authentic AW IMR from ProVape or another AW authorized dealer.

I've also heard the Xtar chargers aren't the best quality either & may not be giving you a good charge. Pila's are one of the best, but a little on the pricey side. Nitecores have been highly recommended in the past & are very affordable.
