Provari Kanger ProTank 11 Looseness & Hard Draw Cause & Solutions

Just graduated to my 1st and 2nd APV'S, both arrived together just 3 days after I placed the separate orders. Both my Provari and Vamo 5 are awesome but the Kanger PT 11 that is included with the Provari has to be so loose when you screw it on the 510 treading to be able to draw a hit that it's about to fall off, where as my Vamo 5 with the same tank screws down nice and snug and I have no problem getting a nice long draw w/o the resistance. I've thought about putting a rubber gasgit on the Provari or removing one of the wicks to help improve the draw but being a tyro I thought I'd ask for other suggestions. I haven't tried other tanks on the Provari, which of course is an easy option, but since this tank came fitted for the Provari why should I have to fuss with it?

Maybe a 510 to 510 adapter might do the trick costs about $1.50. it would raise your tank a wee bit. I would really suggest you go ahead and get a Kanger Aerotank base for that PT II. Costs about $6 and well worth it. I got a pair for my 2 PT II's and it eliminated all of the little quirks I was dealing with. JMHO

The problem you have described is due to cutting off the air flow to the tank. Since the tank works well on the V5, changes to the atomizer wick would most likely not help.
The base of a PT2 has two slots cut into it and the Provari 510 head has slots to allow air flow. If either are missing the tank is 'starved' for air flow. I'd suspect that your PT2 is missing the slots. You can obtain a replacement base for the PT2 at most vape shops selling Kanger products for about $3.
