Thanks everyone. I am finding that I vape more than i used to smoke. Clearly, this battery life will depend on how heavy i am hitting the e-cig. my hope is i can find something that I can be assured will last me an entire day. would like to avoid the size of the 18650 in the Provari and stay with the Mini if possible.

I get about 3 to 5 hours from an 18350, and maybe 8 to 10 hrs from an 18490, fairly heavy vaping but not quite chain vaping. Mine are AW IMR's. If I were to buy again I probably wouldn't bother with 18350's, there's only about half an inch difference in the length. You can also get an extension cap so that the Provari mini can take 18650's if you want (not from Provape tho, from aftermarket manufacturers, google Tatroe ring or Twins for example).

I just ordered a mini with 3 AW IMR 18350 700mAh batteries. I was concerned about this problem as well. Thats why I went with 3 batteries and a battery case to carry with me at work incase one of the batteries dies Ill have an extra on hand to get me through the work day. And im like you, I like the size better than the extended 18650

Cheers, Matt

The regular size Provari is surprisingly small. It looks much larger in pictures. If you truly want a battery to last you all day, the 18650 in the Provari with ext. cap is the way to go.

The mini Provari is tiny. It will be more portable and pocket-friendly, but you'll need to carry extra batteries with you to last the day.

You can always get a Mini, and if you find that the two smaller batteries just aren't cutting it for you, there are extender rings available from other vendors which will allow the Mini to accept both the 18490 and 18650 batteries. The rings available by Tatroe work well in this instance: Tatroe Ring Provari

Regular Provari and a Mini Provari

One Tatroe ring for the 18490 battery

Two Tatroe rings to use the 18650 battery

This is probably the wrong place to post this, but I have a pro mini with the twins 18500/18650 telescopic extension. I'm using aw imr 18650s in it, but the provari cuts out quicker than it should. When I test the battery after, it still reads 3.6 volts. I've tried this with two different new red aw batteries. I put it on the charger and it only takes 500 mah to get back to full. I found out that the twins extension must not be making the best connection. If this is causing some resistance, then there would be voltage drop, causing the provari to cut off early. When I test the battery using the provari, I can see the voltage drop. It's acting like a really old battery, but they aren't. When I do discharge tests with my accucell charger, the aw 18650s at giving me great performance. Any suggestions of what I can put on the threads of the twins to make a better connection? There is no point in using this extension with such a bad connection. Thanks
