So while my batteries charge, thought I'd put up a few first impressions (well since I already owned a v2, 2nd impressions).

1. The ProVari logo on the mini is constructed out of ProVar and then the little i is the word mini written on its side. Nice touch Provape.

2. It's significantly lighter in my opinion than a fully loaded 18650 Provari.

3. I didn't expect the 18350 to be practically 1/2 the size of the 18650 battery, but now I understand the numbering system and it makes sence. :D

4. The size difference between a 18650 extended versus a mini is almost the same as the size of a boge 3.0 ohm carto (minus the threads). With my tanks on, it is one tank smaller.

5. The reduction in size really does make this stealthy. I can practally make the whole unit disappear in my hand.

6. Having never used the stock end cap on my first Provari, the extension cap is far easier to screw on than the stock endcap. :p

7. Blue LED is far more nicer than you might expect. Don't get me wrong, I love my red on black, but this blue next to the red is a trip.

8. You really can see the inside electronics better over the standard. I looked in and was like whoa so close. :D

9. The Blue LED does put out less light than the Red. Allows you to keep the LED option on and still stay stealthy. Red makes your finger glow, Blue doesn't. Red probably would be the easier to see in direct sunlight. I like both LED colors and maybe we'll see more down the road.

Battery longevity testing is being conducted now and details are in the following posts. It will take a while to get a good baseline as I would like to conduct at least 3 rounds of testing.

Here's a shot to contrast the three sizes and textures.

I gotta go shopping for more drip tips... really like the mings the best.

I do like the look of the mini. I don't think it would work for me in daily life but maybe weekend outings, would be a nice device to pocket easily. Perhaps a chrome mini with blue LEDs if ever an option down the road. Very nice collection BTW!

Edit: Mings are my favorite also.

Yeah, I got it for the short outings, a backup to the backup, and to keep my 3 flavor rotations without having to constantly unscrew and screw in a new flavor. I was really surprised on how well it fits in the hand. Thought it might end up being too small, but you just end up holding it differently. While the 18650 configuration is like a beast that you just grab and it firmly fills your grasp, and the 18490 configuration just works, the 18350 size wants to be held with a feathery touch and either disappear or float in the air held just by your fingertips.

I'm still conducting a test on consumption life between the three battery options. Got each one with a fresh battery and a fully filled tank. When the battery dies, I'll take and report how much juice I was able to vape. All 3 are set to the same voltage and are all using a 3.0 Ohm carto.

the sheer battery size of the mini makes me think it wont be too hot, i know some people are reporting 2-4 hours battery life

Yeah, BluSwatch only got 3 hrs on her 18350. Reason I'm not reporting battery life times is I'm vaping all 3 at the same time, so going to report juice consumption which is probably a fairer unit of measurement.

With that said, still perfect for stealth and the 18350 is really so dang small it would be easy to carry a second on ya. If you really needed it to last longer, pop the extension on and pop an 18490 in. Personally I can see me using the mini in both modes depending on how long I plan to be out.

IIRC bluswatch was using LR cartos, which even when outputting the same wattage, will consume more power. From what I've seen, and if I'm understanding it right, a standard (3 ohm) carto will be the most versatile and easiest on the battery (short of a 4 ohm carto). Hoping I understood it correctly, I have 28 boge 3 ohms (for $22!!) coming :)

Alas, my mini did not arrive today, which did disappoint me a little bit since I'm only a state away from Provape, but that's USPS's fault not Provape's. I got the shipping notification 11 hours after I ordered the mini, minutes after they first became available.

True, she was using a 1.7 ohm at 3.7v. Had she used a 3.0 at 4.9v or so to match wattage, she should have gotten 4 to 4.5 hrs of use. Since I'm testing at 4.8v on a 3.0, maybe after I get the juice consumption rates down, I'll switch to just using the mini and rotate my tanks to see how long it lasts. I always like field testing data better than theortical. :D

I'll be interested to hear other's experience with battery life on the 18350. I really like the smaller form factor of the mini, but wasn't 100% sure how long the battery would last me, so I ordered the extension cap and a 18490. I have a few 1.5 DC and 2.0 single coils around now, but after reading about how the same wattage can be attained with less current draw, I have a feeling I'll be sticking with the 3 ohm boges.

Good luck with your field testing! :)

This is what I have so far to report after my intial 14 hrs with all 3 units.

When I got the other two in earlier today I charged up all the batteries and then switched the black satin to a fresh battery and refilled all three tanks. All 3 are on 3.0 boge scc in a 3ml tank vaping at 4.8v.

I started out using all 3 units for about the first 4 hrs, but then realized that at this rate I'd be using them for like 3 days before I'd have any results to post.

So I switched to just using the mini with the 18350 -- pretty much after I last posted in this thread.

I'm still vaping it on the same battery and we are now sitting at vaping it for the last 12 hrs, 8hrs of it solo.

A battery check reveals that it's at 3.6v -- actually started at 3.7v then dropped to 3.6v on the initial check. Ran the test twice more and got 3.6v both times. The other two still report 4.0v, with the chrome bouncing down from 4.1v -- also ran the test a total of 3 times for each.

Now for juice consumption levels to relate the times reported thus far.

I consumed very little on the chrome (18490), maybe a 1/10th of a ml. Reflects on the voltage of the battery check as well. Barely used it. (Maybe I was too busy keeping it shined up )

On the black satin (18650) I consumed about one ml. Was my primary vape during that first 2 hours and I chain vaped it. I normally vape 24mg and in its tank right now is 18mg -- got 18mg just so I could chain vape. Battery is also barely touched and I am not a bit surprised. Usually; but not always, lasts me well into the next day and my days are long. As it is, I've been up 22 hrs today -- lots to do with the new Provari. :p

OK, so now on to the mini. I have only been vaping it for the last 8 hrs. Voltage is now down to 3.6v and I've consumed 1.25ml so far. This one has 24mg in it so I didn't chain vape it.

While my consumption is probably lower than most, I hope that with this data so far you can gage your own experiences or get an idea if you don't have the 18350 to test. I'm estimating that I can probably get 2ml out of one 18350. I otherwise am ecstatic that the 18350 is lasting this long for me. I'm sure if I had 18mg in there though, I would have by now drained it. But with the 24mg I could make it through a work day with the mini and one battery (or so I believe - still need to finish this run and repeat a few times for good measure). If I were using my 1.8 ohm atty in it, I'm sure it would be dead by now.

And with all that, I'm going to go eat and vape some more and sleep. It's my one day off and I think I'm going to retire now just because I can (normally work this shift). :p Have a good night and be back with more data in time.

Deleted. If I can come up with stuff to post within the 24hr limit, I'll edit and reuse.

EDIT: Might as well use it for a 2 hr 45min later update. As I wrote the above and tried to post almost 3 hrs ago and it didn't post till 30 min later.

So I wish I could say that I was vaping a ton over the last 3 hours. Truth be told, I got called into work and have been focusing on other things.

Current mini state:

1.5ml consumed. Battery still at 3.5v Wow, didn't expect that... but then again only consumed .25 ml over the last few hours. End of the day, been up 24hrs and I tend to slow down at the end of the day. :D

Deleted. If I can come up with stuff to post within the 24hr limit, I'll edit and reuse. And YES! It took me 2 hrs to get back on to site to fix the multiple postings. Actually took me almost 1 hr just to post what I wrote up there, only I didn't know that the 1st post made it 30 min. into the site going nuts. Fun stuff.

------------

OK, I did it!

I stayed up for various reasons and well I just hit the blinky level 1 light on the mini. Time 6:40 AM PST 3/18

So here's round 1 of the 18350's longevity (I'd like at least 3 rounds to conclude my results).

Started vaping the mini around 11:30 AM PST 3/17. Using a 3.0 Boge scc in a Phiniac tank at 4.8v.

At around 3:30 PM PST 3/17 I stated to vape the mini soley. See above postings for reasons/details.

I got 15 hrs of vape time solo on this sucker plus whatever time I spent vaping it prior to the cutover at 3:30 PM -- mind you I was not chain vaping it.

Juice consuption was 2ml of 24mg Bombayvapor's RY4.

Battery voltage now reads 3.3v

Could I drain it much faster, sure... but 2ml on a charge is plenty for me. I will now move on to the 18490 then the 18650 to get real testing on my vape pace to establish percentages which may be more useful to somone than time or juice consumption rates. I'll reset the others and do a solo vape on them when I wake tomorrow. Mind you that the 18650 lasts me a very very very long time. I can get way more than a day on it, and my days are usually 20+ hrs a shot. As it is, been up for almost 29 hrs now.

Hey guys! I just wanted to chime in that yesterday when I went to my parents' house, I got a lot better batt life on my Mini.
I was using a 2.8 ohm Kanger in a Phiniac tank at 4.0-4.2v, it's a strong black licorice juice and was very yummy at the lower volts.
Ok, anyway, I put a fresh 18350 in when we left the house at10:00am and it lasted till we left to come home at 5pm, and the only reason I put a new one in then was to make sure it wouldn't start blinking on the 70 mile drive home. It HAD NOT been blinking, so I don't know how close it was, I just changed it to be safe.
I went thru almost 2 tanks during that time, probably 4-6 mls of juice, but I am not sure, I wasn't keeping track.
Today, I am going to keep an eye on what I am using, for how long, at what setting, etc since I should be home most of the day and can pay attention.
I'll let you guys know! ** gonna use a 3.0 ohm XXL Boge in a Pniniac Tall-boy at 4.2 or so .... Banana Nut Bread juice (sweet)

Hottody - I got this in a trade, it's a "doubler" from Tastey Vapor, and I mix it about 50/50 with unflavored nic juice. This stuff is yummy with just a touch of sweetener added. :)
Some of my stronger flavors I can run at lower volts, so that's a plus for the batt life also I think ... I have to keep checking that Ohms Law thing since I can't keep anything straight. LOL
