Hi guys,

I just received my brand new Provari Mini v2.
As soon as I get it I screw a Boge LR 35mm carto on it and something surprised me:

As you can see on the picture, I can't screw it entirely and this let a 1mm gap. I tried the same carto on my Vamo and my eGo and no problem, I can screw it to the bottom. It seems that the central pin of the 510 connector of my Provari is too high.

Is it normal?

Thank you.

I found this on the official FAQ of Provape:

My Cartomizer/Atomizer Sits Crooked on My ProVari

This is a bit normal. We have to raise the center brass pin on the ProVari so it works with all types of different atomizers. If we put the center pin too low on the ProVari then it won’t make contact with all the different varieties out there.

You can try tapping on the center pin a few times to lower the internal pin. Just use a flat small tool centered on the top cap pin then lightly tap a few times with a hammer.

You can also try raising the atty's center post, as in push it up a bit more into the atomizer’s threading.

This is normal and a replacement would have the same. We cannot lower the pin too much otherwise you won’t get a connection and it won’t work so we side on caution to be higher.

In fact, I remember the first Vivi Nova I got had the center pin sticking out from under the threads almost an eighth of an inch and when I attached it to my ProVari, it was crooked and wobbled a bit. I had to grind that center post down on the Vivi Nova because I couldn’t adjust it. As soon as I did that, the wobbling stopped.

Ok I understand now. But I'm a bit curious about the hammer trick to lower the central pin connector. It is quite hard to believe that a company loke Provape advice to do such a thing on a $170 product :p !
