That is consistent with my experience and testing.
The high voltage output being asked (4.7 volts output) of the eVic at 1/2 battery power will cause it to be way, way off. Even at a full battery it does not make it, because the device voltage output exceeds the battery voltage. To be fair, if you vape between 3 and 4 volts on a 1.4 ohm coil, as many vapers do, the difference is much less.
The eVic is pretty close in that range, but not spot on like the ProVari.

I've got 4 "old school" Protanks in rotation - and I see no reason to get anything else for the time being
Ditto, I prefer Protank over the Protank 2s, I like single outer piece BCC, I don't like removable drip tips except on RBAs...
Well I have 4 of the originals, that I use at home, and when I am driving. I have 2 of the smooth hour glass shaped tatroe tanks, with the tatroe end caps, that I carry at work. I finally tried the 1.5 ohm coils today in my tatroe tank, on my provari, man it hits like a freight train!
