So in my search for a quality, pocketable VV mod, I've decided it looks like the ProVari mini fits the bill. A bit more $$ than I was initially looking at spending but it seems that you get what you pay for, and even though I wasn't a heavy smoker, I think over time it'll be less expensive than cigs. My main concern was the pocketability factor, but it seems as though the mini is the answer to that problem. I should be able to keep an extra 18350 nearby, or I can get the extension tube (which I'm thinking of doing) to use the "regular" 18490 battery.

Having browsed around for a while, it looks like most people prefer tanks, and after researching more about em, I can see why. I've only really ever used just cartomizers, but a tank looks like a great solution to the issue of having to keep the carto topped off and "slushy". What I was wondering is, which tank would be a good choice as far as pocketability? I'd like something that I could carry around and not have to worry about leaking all over the place. I'm not a heavy vaper either, so I'm not concerned (at this point at least) with the capacity of the tank, I'd just like something as small as possible and reliable. Something that would hopefully work with VG juices too (I'm not sure how much of an issue this is?), as I've got some AV juices coming to sample. I'm not sure if I'll like VG, or AV's juices, but I'd like a setup that will allow me to be able to experiment as much possible.

Does what I'm describing sound like a setup that should meet my needs? Any recommendations on a compact, solid tank? Or should I just stick to cartos if it's something that's gonna be going in a pocket? Thanks a lot for any help, I've searched around but wasn't able to find much info on what the smallest tanks were, and how well they work as far as carrying them around. I appreciate your guys' input!

I'd say look for one of the tanks that fit the shorter 3ohm Boge cartos for the Mini. I'd recommend the J-tank for a nice secure fit on the cartos. VG should be fine if the holes are punched a little bigger in the cartos. Or at least take a few drags without firing the device to suck some liquid into the carto before you fire it again. I've had success with both these methods. Good luck.

P.S. Nothing against the Mini Provari, but I prefer the Reo bottom feeder for most convenience and pocketability. Just my :2c:!

Second recommendation for the J-tank. What's nice about the 3ml version is that the caps don't protrude from the sleeve of the tank, meaning there's nothing to catch in pockets -- the unit is smooth, so to speak. It's also very tight, so there isn't much concern of it sliding off the carto, although you still have to pay attention and not jerk it around by the tank.

Punch two holes for 100% VG juices. Works fine with Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice, but as Nate said, it's not a bad idea to take a couple primer puffs now and then to keep the wicking saturated.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, the J-tank is looking pretty good to me. After seeing some videos on it, it looks like a pretty compact tank that fits on the ProVari quite nicely. Something like the Odysseus looks really nice, but kinda pricey (for now at least), considering my wallet will take a bit of a hit with the ProVari mini and batteries+charger+etc. Definitely something to look into in the future though.

Only about 8 more hours and we'll be able to order the mini! It seems like Provape is gonna get hammered tonight, hopefully they'll have some extra people on board to handle all the orders.

Another vote for the J-tank. I own bunch of different tanks because I like to try them out and see if I like them. I always end up washing them out and sitting them aside and putting the J-tank back on. If you want a certain color, watch their website and check it multiple times during the day. They make them in-house, so when they get made they put them up on the site. The black always sells out quickly.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna go for the j-tank with 3.0 boge cartos. Now if they can just get something besides white in stock!

Get the stainless! It's a great little tank.

Otherwise, they make the delrin models in-house, so stock changes as soon as they have some completed. Check back daily and you'll see them return to stock quickly.
