the only thing i can think of is dependability when this comparison comes up.

both output a nice steady voltage and vape well. with the DNA offering 5 more watts if that important.

with the provari you can actually buy one now, they come with a warranty, have proven to be rock solid and dependable and you can have it repaired should something happen to it.

DNA - there are a few. but they are not always in stock, some offer no warranty at all and a few have the very basic "if the board dies within a year we will replace it once" kind of deal going on. some of the better models "may" offer servicing i am not sure.

so it depends on what you want out of the mod as it is also very very hard to find tube style DNA mods and then they are usually well over $200. so most of them are box shaped.

Provari
Pros:
- Well built. I've been using mine for more than 2 years now.
- Always available (you don't have to stalk their website everytime just to order one.)
- Top notch protections.

Cons:
- Not a VW.
- The display is getting old.
- Current limit 3.5A. Nowadays people needs more for running multiple coils.

Dna20
Pros:
- Very versatile VW. Easy to use.
- Very informative display
- Comes in many shapes and form.

Cons:
- You will have to wait to get one.
- Too powerful for some people.
- No voltage setting. (For using multiple coils) I still prefer my zmax for dual / quad coils.

This is just my opinion, my personal preferences, might or might not be suitable for you.

The cheapest Dna20 mod I've seen is by Dz nutz (jcmsvapes), just Google it.

Sent from my mind using the Force, or mindmelt, or whatever

I was asking myself the same question yesterday.do I need another Provari or do I need to try a DNA 20? I wound up buying a REO Grand and a Reomizer! I already have 3 provaris andI really have no use for 20 watts... But that doesn't mean I don't want 20 watts! I'm just going to wait until the selection and availability improve. I've been real curious about all the hype with the Reo Grand so I figured I would give it a try. I absolutely love the Provari, I can't really see anything taking its place yet. it does what it's supposed to do each and every time and it does it perfectly.

the only real comparison to a provari is a semovar.

the dna 20 is nice but does have limits to what it can pull off, you can only dial it down so far.

as for the selection - people need to get busy as several mods in the 20-30 watt range are getting ready to hit the market with true VV/VW, and they will push the DNA back into the custom modders market where it is most popular.

while a few companies are trying to go full production with it it really didnt get invented with that in mind and the minute Evolv kills it those production mods are dead.
