It's been awhile since I posted here. Probably cause I got my Provari  A friend recently PIF'd me an eGo twist 1100mah. I got to say I'm impressed, but had to quickly give it to my wife:facepalm:. Now I'm looking to get her the 650mah's and I'm thinking of getting a couple for myself for daily use during work. If i do, I have to have a cartomizer tank set up. We have a store locally that sells those carto tank rigs where the cart has a flat thingy the tank rests on. (See, its been awhile since I've researched this stuff) Anyway, I use a Lil Mama tank w/ 3ohm carto's I punch myself. Love It!! What I noticed with those other slim tanks I've been getting for my wife is that they slide off real easy. I guess my question is, based on the above info, what tanks should I look for and where to get them for the eGo. Also to my fellow Provari users, should I waste my time/money on an eGo for myself? So far I think I'd like it due to size/weight for work.

Thanks for the fast responses!! Real quick... I've tried those clearomizers and they are to harsh for me (throat hit wise) And I probably should have been more clear to the fact I'm looking for a "slim" tank that matches the profile of the eGo.

Aesthetics and performance being the most important. It's gotta look "cool" man!!! :thumb:

I own a Provari and several twists. You can't really compare them in the Lavatube vs Provari sort of way. What they are, for a Provari user, is an essential backup. They are more pocket friendly than the Provari, cheap and are VV which as a Provari owner is hard not to have available. Sme might argue that there are other similarly priced VV batteries out there, but these just work for me and I don't mind adjusting by taste instead of volts if all I'm doing is waiting for my 18650s to charge or just need something I can take anywhere and not worry about it getting banged up. And there's the fact that I, personally, like a few ego-threaded clearomizers from time to time and I'd rather go native on an ego batt than have to use adapters. I don't think you could go wrong picking up a couple.

I just got a Vivi Nova for my Twists and they work great. If you are worried about aesthetics, you could get a thread sleeve and there are several colors of the metal tank replacements. The Novas make the Twist a little top heavy but they work great and don't leak.

Agreed! Ma and my wife are using that exact setup. I would love a nicer mod but these work great!

It will be tough to find a nice looking carto tank that won't look top heavy on an Ego Twist. I'd personally recommend you try the new carto/clearo hybrids called CE3's. They hold about as much juice as a regular cartomizer, but have no filler material to get clogged or taint juice flavor. Small enough that you can easily bring several with you, each with a different flavor.

These are some CE3's on a Smokeless Image Volt X2 battery (ego sized):

Should you still be interested in a carto tank, I'd recommend going with a pyrex tank. Glass doesn't taint juice flavors like plastic can, and is totally safe from leaching chemicals from certain plastics that can also crack or melt from certain juices. There is a new supplier offering very inexpensive, nice looking, and durable pyrex tanks - OCD tanks IBTanked.com

Clear Tanks

The thick pyrex tubes are just $5 for clear, $10 for designs, $20 for metal endcaps. $25 for a pyrex tank with metal endcaps is the cheapest around. Someone from the tank sub-forum in the thread "Quest for Glass Tanks" got some and loves them. These are narrower than the typical pyrex tanks on the market, same diameter as a Provari. Here's a pic of that user's tank on a Twist from the above tank thread:

Should you get a carto tank, I also recommend switching to single coil.
