I absolutely love my ProVari... and it must love my cartos to death because I'm going through cartos like crazy! I only use LR cartos at about 4.2V at most. For some reason, the regular/high-resistance cartos just don't do it for me. The LR cartos might just be dying because of the fact that they're LR but I'm still skeptical of that. With that said, I noticed that specifically my Snickerdoodle cartos go out the quickest. My only guess is that it's from the dark color of the e-liquid. (All of my juices are 70/30 PG/VG and I didn't have too many troubles with cartos).

Now on to the problem (excuse my rambling please hehe): I use Boge LR cartos and Snickerdoodle juice at 70/30 pg/vg as stated before. When I refill my Snickerdoodle carto, I'll only get around 8-10 puffs at most before I get an awkward taste at around 4V (more or less). I know that higher voltage will eat up juice quicker, but this juice specifically goes quickly on my ProVari.

My only guess is what I've already mentioned: higher voltage, LR cartos, dark-color juice. Is this true, or is there something I'm doing wrong? Oh, just to add, I don't exactly chain-vape, so I do let my carto cool down before taking another puff.

It's sort of frustrating to go through 3 cartos in a matter of a month with one juice since I'm used to cartos lasting me a good while. I had one carto last me 6 months without ANY bad taste, which I know is almost unheard of with carto life span. Thanks for the help and of course I still loooove my ProVari! I'm gonna give the regular resistance cartos another chance, so I'll update on that once I do.

What PV were/are you using to get months out of it? If your Bogge LR's are 2.0ohm then at 4.2 volts your running about 8.8 watts to the carto. If you had been using an eGo or a 3.7 volt PV then you'd be running about 5.8 to 6.8 watts. I wonder if running close to 9 watts is too much for the LR carto?

why are you running LR stuff on a VV....

You coulda saved 60 bucks and bought another Ego battery.

Go to the standard res stuff and up your voltage....Your burnin them up!

Ummmm...you'd be better off with a 3.7V box mod Kevin if you want the "true" performance of LR.

To the OP...Snickerdoodle is you carto killer...not the ProVari. Since you're only going through 3 cartos a month, that's reasonable longevity.

I thought so, thanks hairball :)

I won my ProVari from a contest and I only have issues with this one juice. I stated that I tried regular resistance and higher voltage, but it doesn't taste right to me.

i do find the darker the juice the faster my cartos die/give a funky taste. not sure about the lr part of it as i only use reg boge cartos myself on my provari

I figured it was the juice as well. All of my juices are fine but Snickerdoodle is the only finicky one.

eGo batts :) :vapor: I had one Snickerdoodle LR boge carto last me 6 months. I was quite sad when it died... :(

Sometimes they just don't last. I use SR boge cartos and boba's bounty (100% VG) has killed a couple of cartos in a matter of a few short weeks. I don't think it's the provari, it's got to be the juice. I can vape other 100% VG juices and get pretty decent life out of cartos but for some reason, after a week or so, I will start to get a burned coil taste with my boba's. Nature of the beast, I guess. Not a huge deal, if a carto lasts me a week at $1 more or less, that's a cost I can live with. The only pain about it is, I use tanks and whatever is leftover in the dead carto is just wasted juice :(

Then again, it is possible those cartos just weren't up to snuff. I dropped a new carto from a different vendor Saturday. Hopefully it will last me a little while.

You went through 3 cartos in a month? I wish I knew your secret to making a carto last that long, lol. I just had one last an entire week and I was thrilled. Different juices will definitely effect how long the carto lasts though. They are so cheap that I don't mind replacing them frequently in order to be able to use the juices I like.

Agreed. I've been using various cartos for well over a year and I consider two weeks to be a very long-lived carto. Five or six days (10-12 fills, at least, with a lot of topping-off) is much more common.

I wish I could tell you my "secret" of carto care but even I don't know it  I think it's because I don't like to top off cartos unless they're about... 75% dry. I've noticed that flooding a carto too much and vaping a flooded carto will "tire" it out and it'll die quicker than one that rarely gets flooded. Maybe that's the "secret"?

Now that I'm getting more comfortable with my ProVari, I haven't had a carto die that quickly, even my Snickerdoodle one!, since I posted of course lol! I'll try the higher ohm cartos but I really don't mind the 2.0ohms. Maybe a 2.4-2.5 ohm carto is the "happy medium" for me since the higher ohms cartos I have are all around 2.9-3.1 and it just doesn't float my boat.
