I was just wondering how the threading on the top cap is. I have had really bad luck with the threads stripping on previous mods that I have bought and was wondering if the threads on a Provari can stand up to the test of time.

Thanks!

Both of mine are well over 2 years old and the threads are still as smooth as butter/silk. No issues here..

I do clean them maybe once every six months, and apply some noalox on the threads.

Note: If you work in sandy or dirty environments, it could have a detrimental effect on your threads.

Are you talking about the 510 connection or the actual cap? I hate to say it, Dusty is right if you're talking about the connection. If you're talking about the tapered cap itself, there's no threading on it; it's pressure fitted with an o-ring to keep it sealed. Either way if one goes south on you ProVape will take care of you.

I have Two Provari's that I have been alternating between for about 2 Years. The Treads Look and Feel about the way they did on Day One.

I believe that the Threads are Cut from Stainless Steel. At least they Look like it.

You Noalox your 510 threads?
Didn't think that was recommended - i mean, I don't supposed it'll work up into the coil, but it WILL get wiped off pretty quickly (I wipe the threads every time I swap off a tank). I only Noalox the bottom cap threads.

Only isopropal alcohol (highest % you can find) should be used on the top connector. Noaloxx is for the battery cap threads. It is primarily an antioxidant to keep the bare metal threading from locking up. Dirty or oxidized battery cap threading can wreck havic with the electrical conduction of the battery because the end cap is part of the circuit.
