Do any of you have a wrap / skin on your provari?

If you do, did you get it from provape or elsewhere and are they easy to apply / decent quality?

Last question... could you post pics of your provari with it's skin / wrap on please.

I like the look of a few on provape, and also this one;

Provari mini

That is very cool! I've never seen one like that before. I have made my own wraps, but I did get a clear one from J-Wrap to check my pattern. It's basically vinyl with an adhesive backing, very similar (if not the same) as vinyl shelf liner for cupboards. I also have a carbon wrap for my Vamo from Vapor Skinz, which has a texture to it.

Wrapping a ProVari isn't difficult, because it only has the screen and a big button. I haven't even tried to make my own wraps for the Vamo since the adjust buttons are so tiny and close together. I prefer to make the wraps out of fabric, I like the feel of it better. I attach it to the ProVari with double-sided carpet tape. I experimented with printing some of my artwork on the ink jet "fabric" used for t-shirt appliqués, but I didn't like the texture.

With the purchased wraps, putting them on is a bit like putting tape on them. If you put it down lightly you can reposition it before pressing it down hard. If you pulled it off and stuck it to wax paper for storage you could probably use it at least once more.

Cheers for the info Ocelot :)

I think I'll go ahead and order the one i linked. I'm just useless at taping things on - Even a protective screen for a phone or tablet - it ends up with half a dozen air bubbles all over it! I'll probably ask someone more dexterous than me to apply it :)

The vinyl is thick, I doubt you'll have trouble with air bubbles. Positioning would be the biggest problem, but it wouldn't be much of one. You just peel the crooked part back and start over.

Sounds like i should be able to manage it. Just ordered that wrap from Greece so hopefully it will get here for next week some time. It was only the equivalent of about $6 for the wrap, but $8 for the postage. Ahh well, i dont mind if it looks as nice on as it does in their photos.

That's not bad, the wraps from J-Wraps and Vapor Skinz are about $18 I think. You must post pictures of your Knight when he's wrapped. :)

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I didnt think the price was too bad really. I've probably paid that for a couple of protective screens for a tablet before.

I looked all over and saw a lot of the same ones all over the place. I wanted something unique to ME so I ordered some stuff that appealed to me and I'll try them out. I've got a pattern so it could be fun.

Its just about the "feel" for me!
Im not into cold metal, or any metal..and wasnt over joyed by the tough plastic skins either.
Im sworn on leather, ostrich or cloth satchel/lanyards. hope that helps.
Cheers.

They make textured self-adhesive vinyl that doesn't feel like...well...vinyl.

I'm also into mountain biking and was thinking that some of the handlebar grips would make for an excellent provari wrap. Unfortunately, they are a bit too slim to get the provari in, and whilst it may be possible to squeeze it in, cutting out the button & screen holes could be a bit messy unless you had access to a decent precise cutting tool.

The old BMX style 'mushroom' grips would be ideal :)

People have used motorcycle grips for that. Bad posted something about that, and I have seen other posts here on ECF.
