Do you mean this stuff? Hagen Fluval FX5 Fine Filter Pad at PETCO

I heard it might give a strange taste when vaping. This true?
im not sure this is it but i have heard of people using this i think it can be dangerous for you and possibly a reason why the fda may wanna ban these in usw bc ppl willl be modding them with filter pads lol ummm i would not suggest that i use polyfill and it works just fine i never got a burnt taste from my dse 901 and when i replace fiiling i let it sit for an hour so it can expand and what not... and then i grab the scissors and trim the lil fibers hanging out they look exactly like the reg carts i used to buy at 3$ a pack o five also you can get a big bag the sixe of a pillow of polyfill for the price of an on demand movie so around 3$ you get a life long bag of poly fill i hope this helped

Let me add another one since the PTB method simply looks too complicated. I read of another poster using wool nubs, so I bought that on Ebay. I absolutely love using this filler, no cutting (just some snipping) and the taste is great with wool.

Honestly, it's not that hard to get the hang of PTB. It just takes a few rollups to get it right. But once you do, the filler lasts practically forever (with proper periodic cleaning) and holds more fluid than polly.

PTB stands for Pyramid Tea Bag from Lipton Teas. The bag is made from a poly mesh rather than the traditional tea bag. The vapor who started this suggested it as the poly mesh has a higher temp rating in order for it to melt theorizing it would be safer to use. Someone else also contacted the manufacturer and it ended up recommending that we cut away the edges as there may be some type of sealant that might not be safe to vape. So just in case I cut the edges off. I really like this mod the best over anything I have tried including fluval. I tried it alone and with the straw mod and the fluval actually did too good of a job and cleaned out the taste of the eliquid for me. I like the flavor of the eliquids. I did try wool also and this was my second best choice but I had to replace the wool too often and there were little frays that I didnt like. The PTB lasts a LONG time I change mine about every 2 weeks. I just rinse in water and press it in a paper towel to dry and it works like new. It also holds its shape so it is a quick and easy clean and replace filler. I wish I could find the original vapor who had this idea that was a GREAT FIND!!

What PTB variation do you use (shredded, rho double-fold, rho single-fold, etc.) ?
