PTB tasting like paper?

I'm just curious if anyone else that uses the PTB gets a flat paper taste when they vape. The PTB mod vapes great, but for some reason the taste is similar to paper.

I notice if the PTB goes dry at all it starts to overheat, shrink and deform, producing a papery, bitter burn flavor.

Haven't had that problem in my mod, as it's always getting juice now

That's interesting you say that. The PTB in my cart produces this paper flavor after about maybe 20 drags or so. When I look in the cart, I still see plenty of liquid. Do you think it matters how tight the PTB is folded? My first try at this mod I think it was folded a little too loose, as I was getting a lot of leaking. The one I have been using now is a little tighter. Could this be the problem?

I found that I would get a terrible taste with PTB as well, maybe when it got dry. I abandoned this material, but now I think that it has contaminated my atty, because I still taste it occasionally.
