Posting in newbies since I don't have enough posts yet.

This Friday i'm going to get together the parts to make the Puck. I've also been looking at the Atomizer for life mod at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/120072-atomizer-cartomizer-life.html
Then it hit me. Why use a regular atty/cart at all? Why not make the whole thing.
With the AFL the only thing that remains of a regular atty is the connector to the battery and the outer shell. Certainly we can make our own connector to the puck.

Does anyone have any ideas on making an atomizer from scratch with a connector? It would be best to have all parts available locally with the exception of wick and wire. I'm thinking an RCA plug, however that might be too big.

The Puck is great because it uses regular AA batteries, but if you want to expand on it with other features, use a single 4 AA battery box, a li-ion battery, and you'll still have two "slots" for your enhancements. A smaller box.....

Here's a Mini-Puck

With the exceptions of the wick and wire I want to use all parts found locally like radio shack and homedepot . I think the puck is perfect for what I want to do because of the two boxes which allow plenty of space and regular AAA batteries you can get anywhere.
I also, just thought I could throw in a usb connector into it so when you put the switch in the off position it will feed directly off USB instead of the batteries.

I would just like some ideas thrown my way with making the atty from scratch based on the AFL mod with easily replaceable wick and wire.
