This ProVari mini came last November 2012. Tonight I thought I'd try it out. It doesn't work! I watched a youtube video on how to fill the cartomizer and did it the way they said. The battery, ohm reading, LED reading, all read in what I think is the proper range. Power reads 'on.' batteries are fully charged. What on earth? Bad cartomizers?

Try a 510/ego adapter. Are you getting a e-2 error? Is the Carto good? Do you have a vape friend that could help. Is the battery a button top? Flat tops will not work.
Battery has a small, very small button on top, yes. No error message. I have filled two cartos so far and wasted all that juice, neither worked to give smoke. I could hear the little heater cracking in there, assuming that meant it was trying to work. And gee, wish I had a vape friend....
What voltage are you trying? Also thought the ohm safety cutoff on a provari was 1.3? Its been awhile i cant remember
Nevermind.. It read it can push it, but try starting at 3.2v and see if it will work. Possibly volts set too high for ohms.

Reduced voltage to 3.3 but still not working, darn it. Do I have a ProVari dud?
You might have the Provari V1, which has a current limit of 2.5A. 3.3v with a 1.1ohm coil is 3A and wouldn't fire.
I believe the Provari V2 has a 3.5A limit.
Edited to add: Sorry, just saw that you had the Provari Mini, which has the same Amp limit as the V2, so I might not be that. Have you tried it with a higher resistence coil?

It was me....I kinda knew that; I haven't learned how to work the TV and it's been out 60 years! . I didn't know you had to push the button in when you want vape to come out! Why didn't they put that in the instructions?!!!!!!! I went to YouTube a few minutes ago and watched another video and the guy kept saying, 'let's fire it up.' And he seemed to be pushing something. So I pushed something. BINGO!!!! Now I gotta tell you, I did not expect what I got here. This is truly something else! I'm stunned to say the least!

This is COMPLETELY awesome! I never use that word. I'm sitting here vaping my head off. IT's like a pipe really. I'm vaping I don't know what because in the stress of the night I filled about a dozen cartos thinking they were all dead. But I don't care what's in there either! Because this truly is way more than I expected, way more. I'm THRILLED!!!!! Thank you all for being here all these many months training dunces like me in the most patient way!!!!
