Hi - I am UBER excited -- pulled the trigger on Friday (2/18) and I have read some posts where people made mistakes and flooded their attys -- I don't want to make those mistakes -- I would like to know what you use that makes using your ReoMini the best vape EVER!

Thanks in advance everyone :)

If you want the "best vape ever" then use a LR510 atty... (avidvaper.com)
Make sure and get good batteries: AW IMR 14500. You can get them and good charger for them at OVEREADY Flashlights/Torches - Control The Dark

Thanks TennDave -- I've heard about those LR atty's -- I planned to use my 901 and 510 carts -- they are generic, do you have recommendations for Cartos as well?

Congrats and welcome! The AW IMR 14500's are good-performing batteries with a low-res atty. A lot of folks like the Cisco LR atomizers from avidvaper.com - I happen to prefer the 306's to the 510's, but it's all in what works best for you. Ikenvape is another good source of high-quality atomizers, but I believe he is still waiting for new stock. I've had good luck with atomizers from either site, and like that they aren't filled with nasty primer. For 306's, the drip tips that are sold on the reosmods site are a nice size - they're 1/4" longer than "standard", and therefore feel a little cooler. The translucent tips at avidvaper are the same length. I happen to prefer the solid delrin tips, but a translucent one may be a good option to start with if you go the 306 route, as you can see the juice in the atty.

901's are a little tricker, since they have the air-hole in the side. Rob includes an o-ring in the package that can be used to catch wayward juice. He has a couple of tutorial videos on his site, one of which illustrates how to use the o-ring. I haven't used a 510 carto with my REO's yet, but there is another thread here discussing carto use.

Thinner juices (higher % of PG) may require the use of the reducer tube that will come with your Mini. It is just a short piece of skinny tubing that fits inside of the feed tube. It keeps thinner juices from "self-feeding". I use Halo Menthol Ice in one of my Mini's and use the reducer tube in that one, and it works great. Thicker VG-based juices shouldn't need the reducer tube.

When "squonking" (this is the term given to squeezing the bottle by our beloved Jack Murray), quit as soon as you see any juice in the reservoir. That juice will get sucked back into the atty when you take a drag. Another method has been used with great success, called "blind squonking". Suck on the atomizer while squeezing the bottle, and stop as soon as you feel any resistance, or hear any gurgling. It's a good method to use when you can't look to see what you are doing, and quickly becomes second-nature. A dry atty will need to be properly primed with juice before using, just like with any device.

Best of luck - hope you enjoy your Mini!

Yes, look here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/161209-reo-grand-mini-can-run-cartomizers-too.html for carto's... Most of us seem to like the 2.0 Boge cartos... They are on sale right now and the link I gave has that information in it...actually, the information is further down in this reo section... Lots of info here in the sections below the stickies. :)

Thanks again TennDave -- It's on my shopping list :) At this rate, don't think it's going to help my savings meter heeheeee -- but not smoking...priceless :)

Keep reading!! I would go through the stickies and then the topics below it...but when you get done, come on over to the big thread: Grand Opening Sale and join us where all the socializing, etc. takes place! We'll try to answer any questions you have too- we're a friendly bunch!! :)
Oh, and yeah, it will take awhile before you start saving $$ but not smoking analogs IS priceless!!
Good for you!!! :)

Do.... Keep it forever
Don't .... need any other mods :)

Congrats, the learning curve is pretty short, it will be your best friend in a week or less.

^^This^^

After vaping my Grand for a few hours it became my best friend, nothing else will do. The only thing I added was a Mini!

I'm using LR510 2.0 from Avid. The LR306 and LR801 are great too, but higher maintenance and bigger juice hogs. YMMV.

Welcome

HeeeeHeeeeeeeeeee! That's part of why I pulled the trigger -- To get that perfect vape with minimal mess! The one thing I miss about cigarettes is the simplicity of use! You took a cigarette, lit it, and you puffed until you finished. Every puff was equal to the last, except when you got closer to the filter and it got somewhat of a stronger taste.

I love my mini cigs but the constant topping off to get the vape that feels like a real puff...ugh! Can't wait to get my Reo mini because I certainly will not miss that. :)

Hi Delilah, Don't worry about atty flooding. I think I'm the February's 2011 atty flooding champion!! You do get used to it and after you do, nothing else will do, (except another REO) got a Grand to go with my Mini about a week or 2 ago.

Congrats and enjoy:p

Hi Hoppyy - Congrats on the Grand! Yep, I'm afraid I might go the same route LOL! Mini to Grand... Well, I got the requisite LR510 atty and Carto so I think I'm ready -- May add LR 306 and 901 later... why do I want it all at once! Heeheeeee!

O-ring???? I never got an o-ring. Would love to have one for my 901 atties when the juice spills out of the hole! How can I get one?
