The reality is that I don't commit full time to building them. Why? = It pays me well under the minimum wage. I would earn more washing dishes. Bear in mind the cost of the top class materials + the expensive tools that Titanium eats. Then the many hours that each build takes. There is a demand for hand built Attys, even more of a demand if they are built in top class materials. If there was profit to be made then I wouldn't be one of the very few building them. I have a passion to create them for the collectors & those that want the best. I will keep on building them as long as guys are waiting on one. I will also build a matching mod. Yes also in pure Ti.

What do you use to make these Jim, Are you milling these or doing them on a lathe. You must go through tools like I go through coffee.

I use 2 lathes, one for milling. Yes Ti can eat tools. I machine the parts under constant coolant flow, which does obscure vision at times. Although I have carbide tools, I choose to use a quality tool steel as I can grind the tools to a shape to suit the task. Lathes can be seen on the link below. There are many more pics on that thread but far too many pages for me to sort through. But if you have the time.....
