Pure VG ?

Read up on PG. It is in almost every liquid cough med. out there including the childrens cough med.
PG has been used as the aqueous-based chemical additive in asthma inhalers and nebulizers since the 1950s, with no serious side effects known. PG, because of its water-retaining properties, is the compound of choice for delivering atomized medication. It is also a common diluent for injectable medications.
The FDA includes Propylene glycol on its list of substances Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS), and it meets the requirements of acceptable compounds within Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Considering PG has been widely used for many years without serious side effects, the substance can reasonably said to be of negligible concern.

Thanks for the information. I'm sure a lot of you though my question was stupid but I knew PG was part of antifreeze and people and pets have been killed from drinking it. I know understand that the PG in e cig juice is not toxic. I've only been doing this a week and have much to learn yet.

Most antifreeze is non toxic these days because too many animals would lick the toxic antifreeze, that would puddle in driveways occasionally, and die. They found the safe solution in PG and now use that in antifreeze. You never hear of animals dying anymore. I remember when it was happening, vaguely.

I want to know exactly where you received this most egregious bit of misinformation, so that the entire ECF community can issue forth and destroy what credibility they have left. Engine coolant my left... my left... grrr...

You have rubbed it on your skin, washed your hair with it, eaten it, drunk it and inhaled it in far greater quantities than you will ever be exposed to from an e-cigarette. The stuff has been in food, medicines, cosmetics and personal products for decades. Engine coolant... grrr...

here is a pg engine coolant for you
Propylene Glycol Antifreeze Coolant: AMSOIL Long-Life, Universal PG
its one of a few on the market. so it does exist but its sold as non toxic and biodegradable
heres some more info
Cooling Fluids
so today we can all be right

What is pure VG like? I'd like to switch to pure VG because PG is what engine coolant is made of and is toxic. I read that none of these liquids are bad but why would they make the stuff out of engine coolant? What are the facts about the safety of this stuff? Just trying to learn and figure out what is the best and safest to use. While vaping, I can taste something like engine coolant, 50/50 mix so far.

Hi Aaron,
I just started a thread which will be a start into the world of DIY with 100% VG and Organic Flavors

As far as I remember, there was a website called www.vkcigs.com/, she had youtube video's, one of them had PG FDA report test with PDA's.
PG had some toxic results while vaping.
There is a huge difference when you use PG in food and when you vaping it.
I am using 100% VG for along time, PG poped on my face , kinda bad experience when you close to 40:)
For people who believes 100% VG is to thick , add some water!

Wait... How do you know what engine coolant tastes like?

And why are most of your post all pertaining to how dangerous and toxic pg is? Or your other question about vaping bath salts?

I smell a troll, ya'll...

Aaron you've been given the facts more than once. Stop trying to stir up trouble. Or if you must, go build yourself a nice subohm coil

I recently made a maximum % VG liquid and found I am starting to prefer it over the higher percentage PG blends I have tried. Big plumes of vapor please me for some reason, am using carto tanks so wicking issues are obsolete, and I haven't noticed any problems with flavor deficiencies. Yes, it's thick, but 14 gauge needles take care of measuring hassles.

I believe I am beginning to notice that max VG seems to kill/gunk up my cartomizers rather quickly. Seems like I only get about 2 days out of a carto with max VG before the draw diminishes and I have to replace it whereas with a 70/30 PG/VG blend I get about an entire week. I think I will try a 50/50 blend. Feel bad for those with PG reactions.
