Purple Mini All Decked Out

Hi johni - I breed ball pythons. I also have a pair of albino sonoran gophers, a pair of black milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum gaigeae), a western hognose, and a few California kingsnakes.
Slow show today, but I gave two little boys their first snakes (just some normal male ball pythons) with their mother's blessing. One of the little boys had written a story for his mom about how he would take care of his snake. Who wouldn't love that? The beaming smiles on those little boys' faces was all the payment I needed today! That, and mom asking why I was doing that, and I smiled and said "random act of kindness. The joy on their faces as they talked about their love of snakes was all the motivation I needed".

That's cool! Noticed herper in your signature previously and was just curious as to what you raised. We have a Sulcata tortoise.
I love Sulcata's, I just don't have the room for one as a full grown adult. There was one at the show today with a donation bucket harnessed on it, wandering the show. I didn't get to get a chance to see who/what it was raising funds for - but it sure was cute, and the kids loved it!
The neighborhood kids love ours although she is pretty shy. Just ducks into her shell when she gets tired of people.
I have had hognoses temporarily. I used to catch and keep snakes for a day or two before releasing them. Hognoses are so funny when they play dead

I first fell in love with hognoses as a little girl and going to summer camp at the local nature science center. I still remember "Helen the Hognose" - she was my favorite. Sadly - the kingsnake escaped his enclosure and Helen was never to be seen again.
My mother laments to this day "we should have never sent you to the nature science center as a child". She's not a fan of my hobby! She was hoping it was a passing phase. LOL At least she's gotten over the "I'll never come into your home again" phase. As long as she doesn't have to see or go into the snake room, she's cool.
Was hoping that I had a few pictures of the little worm, but I don't - I'll have to remedy that later.
I'll just show these two off - the first is one I brought home this weekend from a breeding loan, and the second is one I produced last year and have eggs in the incubator to hopefully make a few more for myself and a wait list I have.
Oh - I have to add one more - this was the first of it's type produced in the world. There were two more produced this year with my male on breeding loan to two friends. Believe it or not - the first picture above, and the one below share the same sire.
