Hello,

I am new to the vapor community but have been blown away by the effectiveness of the E-Cig. I haven't touched a regular cigarette in over two weeks now.

At the moment I vape Turkish Gold and Longhorn by HALO. Torque 56 is ok but IMO too similar to Longhorn which tastes better to me.

I'd like to try Tobacco Gold which I found on this forum. Can I put a third party e-liquid into a Halo Triton Tank ? Is adding 3rd party liquids to opposing tanks in general a bad idea ?

Can someone perhaps recommend other american made e-liquid brands that I could try with my Halo ?

Thank You for the advice.

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on quitting smoking. Sure, you can use other branded e-liquids in these style of tanks. I took a look at these, and they appear to be made of plastic. Therefore I wouldn't recommend anything that has citrus, banana, cinnamon, or anise in them (Plastic can crack with these flavors). Other tobacco flavors should be fine.

YES!!! go for it, i also own a triton and i love it. i put all kinds of jooze in my triton tanks

100% VG juices might complicate things a bit because they are nice and thick.

Thank You to everyone that has responded.

What are 100% VG juices ?

I read that Tobacco Gold is the closest thing to a Malboro cigarette. Can anyone verify this for me ? At the moment I am still stuck on the Tobacco flavors. The closest a juice can get to a real cigarette or cigar the better off for me.

I have 2 Triton starter kits from Halo & put lots of different juices in them. Granted, if I make a crazy change such as a Tribeca to vanilla custard, I'll change out the coil and rinse out the tank first. You're not limited in who's or what juice goes in the tank; enjoy what you want.

BTW, look into steeping your juices too before using them. Search the forums here for info on how to do it.

Yes, you can.

But first, Welcome!! Good for you. 2 weeks is great!!

Be aware that your tastes are changing as your taste buds start regenerating.

Many newbees want a "Marlboro" juice, but replicating the horrid burning tobacco flavors hasn't been good. However, it sounds as if you have the Halo Tobacco sampler? If so, try the Torque with a little TriBeCa. The torque is a bit raw, and the slight sweetness of TriBeCa mellows out the mix. 3:1 ratio, but whatever floats your boat.

And here is a secret coupon for you to use at Halo's website for 10% off juice, cause you are a ecf member now.

And a lot of nuubs are also looking for that ONE flavor. We smile, as we have found it better to have several flavors. Vaping the same old day after day gets stale. Changing it up between 3 or 4 keeps the flavors all fresh to your palate.

And you can do some citrus and cinnamon, just not the more extreme forms of it. Lemon Loves Cake bu Alice in Vapeland is fine in Triton tanks (as is any Alice juice). Or cinnamon rolls or other dessert type flavors are fine. What is not is Red Hot Cinnamon.

And be open to different flavors. Stuff you might not like to drink or eat might be a favorite to vape. I cannot drink a Pina Colada, nor did I smoke menthols. Yet Malibu by Halo is my fave (with 25% Belgian Cocoa added). Who knew??

Post a few more times and find us Halo users in the Halo section!!

And you are now a Halon!!!

Thanks for the coupon code and the words of encouragement.

I definitely agree with switching the juices up. I've noticed that the more you vape a specific juice the more you perceive it differently. I found it very similar to wearing the same cologne over and over.

Off topic, but are those halo flavors really good?

I have a triton. Used to buy only halo juices. They're reliable and they've been around for a while. That said, I either make my own ( mostly) or buy Halo, Mr. Goodvape, nicquid, or Buttout ( may be a local shop only , not sure ) flavors. I bought some by Voda and found them not true to taste. The menthol was horrid. I'm going to throw it out. My coworker loves Johnson Creek JC original. It's a tobacco with a hickory flavor. I tasted it today and it made me want bbq for dinner lol

I have only tried 3 from Halo.

Turkish Tobacco - Tastes the most realistic so far but after vaping it for a while can become bland. It has very little if any sweetness to it. I get a slight minty/menthol after taste which I don't like.

Longhorn- A cross between a mild creamy cigar and sweet pipe tobacco. I vaped one tank then thought it was over for me because of the sweetness (cocoa ?) at the end but I came back to it. WHY ? The more I vaped it the more respect I had for the cigar taste that it was trying to emulate. I also got used to the sweetness which was throwing me for a loop. At the moment I am seriously contemplating getting a 30ml of this juice. It all depends how much I like Tribeca and Prime 15 when they arrive.

* I am beginning to accept that most of these juices have something sweet going on. My hunch is to mask the chemical tastes ?

Anybody ?

Torque 56 - This is supposedly the big winner from Halo. IMO it is very similar to Longhorn but not as complex nor is it blended as well. It would be redundant IMO to purchase this and Longhorn but worth a 7ml to compare the two. I think one should purchase 7ml of all the juices that interest you then narrow it down from there. If you don't then you will always have a doubt whether you chose the right liquids or not.

As far as other brands of E-Liquid are concerned it seems like most companies offer similar spin offs with little variations. I can imagine that the technology is somewhat limited to certain ingredients that all companies have equal access to ? Maybe I am wrong. I will however definitely stay away from made in china liquids. Those frighten me.

Yes definitly other vendors juices work well in a Triton tank. As others have said some citrus and cinnamon juices can be known to be tank crackers but most vendors will list if any of their juices might crack a tank or if your not sure you can always email that vendor to ask but I would check their FAQ section first.

I also like Voodoo and you should also try Tribeca. I was a former menthol smoker and I love all their menthols plus Kringle's Curse taste just like a candy cane to me.
