I was reading through the forums and came across the pyramid tea bad mod for cartridge filling. I went to my nearest grocery store and sure enough I found Lipton pyramid tea bags. Came home and made one to go in my cart just as I had seen in the videos that I watched. This is pretty good... I like it a lot..it does make the e-liquid have a better taste. I was wondering if anybody else has tried it? And what your thoughts on the PTB mod were?

Hi Opie!

I see you're from SC too! I have been wanting to try the PTB mod and haven't been able to find the teabags -- can you let me know which grocery store you found them in? Thanks!

Cool I live in Taylors where do you stay? It's nice to see some people close. Anyway I got the pyramid tea bags at the BI lo grocery store in the tea isle of course...lol. Maybe we can meet up sometime. Just let me know.

The PTB Mod........hhhmmmmmm.....where to start. Well I use this Mod on all my carts and I love it. It tastes just like direct dripping on the atty which is awesome!! The only problem I have is it is a touchy mod. By that I mean you have to get the size just right. Too tightly wound and you will get juice in the mouth (yuck!). To loosely wound and it will not wick too well. Anyway, you get my drift, it just is a little picky on how you fold/cut/stuff it to get the best results. But I think the time is well worth it for the great taste! I have not used polyfill since I started using the PTB mod. Happy Vaping!! :D:D:D

Yea It's got a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down there's nothing like it. I like vaping and all that has to do with it cause you got all these different things you can try, plus you can read up on a bunch of stuff kinda keeps your mind off the analogs which we all would like to do right. And yes Happy Vaping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Sumter and, yes, we still have a BiLo - I will be heading there tomorrow, thanks! I don't do the Pig, hah! (I would if they had the teabags though...)

Here are some other locals on the forum -sorry, I am too new to do a linky- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/groups/south-carolina-vapers-forum.html. Maybe you already found them??

They are having a Vape and greet in Mt Pleasant (Shem Creek) on 4/24/2010. I'll find the website for you and post it!

I agree it's nice to find some other people close by -- don't know about vaping in Taylors, but I think I may be the only one here is Sumter. Or else maybe they are closet vapers?? Is there such a thing? :)

FWIW When i used carts I liked the PTB mod only i used half a bag folded accordion style then folded in half so it looks like one of those paper fans people used to make in school. Try it... couldn't hurt. Always gave me good results.
Thanks for that tip. I've been rolling and folding, but always willing to try something new.

I encountered the problem of getting the material folded to just the right size too. What I wound up doing is rolling/folding the material to about the right size, fold it over double per usual and cut to length per usual. What I then do is hold the folded end with a pair of tweezers and with a pair of scissors cut lengthwise down the middle of the opposite ends. The cut runs about half the length of the folded material. Once inserted in the empty cart the cut ends seem to better fill the atty end and better hold/distribute the juice.

With the juice I use I never unfold the material to clean it. I just hold it under hot running water for a few seconds and then pat it dry on a paper towel.

I found the pyramid teabags at the local Walmart Neighborhood Market. Most of the Lipton Tea there did not appear to be of the pyramid type. I was almost ready to leave when I finally noticed some smaller boxes of Lipton Tea on a higher shelf, I guess you could call them gourmet flavors. The boxes are about 4" square and 2" deep and contain 20 teabags. The pyramid teabag is pictured on the front of the package. At Walmart they're $2 a box.
