The new 401 manual battery supposedly hold its own against the 510. I have the 401 auto, and also the new manual batty's, and I think I prefer the manual. More control. Clouds of vapor. Good throat hit AND good flavor. It's got better battery life then a regular 510, in a smaller size. There's supposed to be a PCC coming out for it also.

You can get the the manual 401 batteries and have em in 3 days from either one of these guys. Both have great customer service, and awesome shipping. But Truesmoker has the Dragon. :)

How does the M401 stack up against the 510? Is there somewhere that has a comparison?

I've found that the 510, including atty's, manual megabatteries, wall charger and USB charger are among the most reliable hardware I have found (can't say the same about other 510 accessories). As far as ecigs I've tried, the 510 is definitely my "go to" ecig.

But my opinion is that the 510 is relatively an ugly ecig. And I simply love the looks of the M401. I want it to be my "out on the town" ecig. The hit is acceptable without dripping. Which would be appropriate at a party or whatever. I would probably even buy pre-filled carts for being out on the town with it, as I found topoffs to be more difficult than for the 510.

I got my M401 manual batts yesterday from litecigusa. I have to say so far I love it! I also got a 510 in the mail yesterday and thought the M401 would fall to being back up but......not the case. I'm carrying both and not sure which will be my daily carry around. I'm not overly impressed with the 510. Don't get me wrong, it's a great vaper but so is the M401 and it's smaller.

This saga to be continued.......

I think my next purchase (besides a Little Chuck) is going to be the 510 version of the Baby J from Janty. I also want to see what the plans are for the next version of the Stick. There should be more info on these models soon.

As it is my thread, I have "poetic license" to go off topic :).

If you are going to have a stick, why not get the bigger Chuck with extra battery? My understanding is that this setup would allow me to go a whole weekend without requiring AC charging. Like for camping trips.

I've already got the bigger Chuck. :) I love it.

I'd use the Dura(510) version of the Baby J for work, since I can't stealth vape with my Chuck, and it will have a USB charger like the current Stick. The new version of the Stick is more than likely going to have variable voltage (according to Janty), so I could use it at 5V.

And of course... it's always fun to get new toys. :D

I think I'm going to order up a 401 manual from truesmoker when I order a few attys. I'm curious to see the difference between the two. And I've been hinting around that for Christmas I'd like a chuck or protege (one of them, haven't decided which one yet), hope I get one!!

Much to my surprise, I found that the DSE901 manual batt had auto-shutoff after a time not any longer than the DSE901 auto batt! This was too complicated for a simple guy like me to vape. And the hit with the manual batt seemed not as powerful than with the auto-batt!

I'm curious if the M401 manual has auto-shutoff and how long before it cuts-off. And comparison between auto vs. manual hit power.

Found my answer. 7 second cutoff, though you can take two quick hits in a row. Can really get a strong hit. Now I'm just looking for a site to get both a black one and pre-filled, flavored carts, and my "out on the town" ecig will be complete!

I have had the M401 and 510 for several months now and still find myself using the M401 most of the time. It just gives a more consistent and satisfying hit than the 510 each and every time until the cart is empty. The main reason I still have the 510 is that the manual battery is great in the convertible. I can't wait to get the manual 401 battery.

Well now that it's the end of the year, I got to wait until Uncle Sam takes his share of my funds. And I'm thinking I'll wait a while till I get some more forum experience with 401 manual batts.

BTW, as I was quoting someone else about the seven second cutoff on the man battery, it does seem that there is some confusion, and possibly different versions of the man battery.

In any case, I hope nobody else reads this post, so I can learn from others' mistakes :)

Because I was excited about the possibility of resurrecting my 401, I got it out of the box again and found that the metal band holding the two-piece atomizer had loosened up, rendering the ecig unusable. I had stored the 401 fully assembled, with some remnants of juice.

So I guess I'd like to see a one-piece atty or more reliable way of securing the two pieces together. Does anybody know if the problem I experienced has been resolved?

Thanks,
Dave
