Ok... I need to know where I can get ahold of some quality 510 Connectors. I just had 4, count em, 4!!! eGo batteries short out, and do all sorts of insane things!!! I know the ones in my mods are starting to get all crazy as far as the rubber separator in the connector goes, so I bet not too long from now they're gonna do the same thing, and I really don't wanna go ripping mods apart unless I can get better connectors. So Please somebody point me in the right direction, Thank you! :)

koo thanks man, I always go to madvapes for everything, but I wanted to see if someone had more solid built connectors. I'm just noticing that the post separator is really crappy on a few of the connectors I've recieved... Just don't wanna build all these mods and have em last only 6 months or less ya know?

nah, I really don't try to over tighten ever, its just that sometimes the carto gets loose and I add a little more to it ya know. Don't get me wrong, the eGo Connectors are good, but the separator just turned rotten, and apparently caused a short in all of em. they were about the same age, bout 6 months or so. It did get to where I had to pull the center pin up on em to make a better connection. Really is disappointing tho, that was three batteries, the fourth just broke. I cut into a couple of em and didn't find a thing wrong with the switch or wiring, so Idk, Only thing I can come up with is a short, which is how it was acting in the first place.

I always kept the inside of the connectors clean, didn't use any kind of alcohol or anything on it, just cleaned the junk out till it was shiny :D So IDK :/

How about the eGo connector itself?
It's pretty durable. You don't overtighten your attys do you?
Or try and pick up on the center pin to fix a poor connection?

I use the insulator out of expired cartos.

++++

I have had to replace the insulator on a couple of mods only after about a month of use. I think the heat, juice, and torque kill them fairly quick. I have been collecting insulators outa cartos for a short while now to make repairs.

I just rigged up a couple with heat shrink instead of the silicone insulators. I slide the center connectors into some heat shrink and rotate it over a flame, let it cool and run my pocket knife around the edge to only expose the top. Works like a charm. I now buy any connectors I want without worrying about the silicone insulators getting torn up.

I have several 510 batt connectors from MV and GP. I found that the black insulators were terrific quality and the white insulators were crap, thin and torn. Mind you that I'm talking about NEW and never used conn's.
The problem is I don't know which vendor I bought the black ones from. Also, vendor lots can change as supplies are reordered. Where you bought the good ones from can be the worst on the next lot.
