Dear Veterans,

I have a dream where I can make my own ejuice and its really nice. I ordered a bunch of supplies from ecig express including nicotine. It occured to me after the transaction that I should get some sort of data telling me that this nicotine is indeed 48mg and that it is Pharm grade nicotine.

ecig express supplied a lot of data but at the end of the day, I couldnt see how the data was linked to the quality or accuracy of the nicotine in my order.

Have any of you ordered nicotine from ecig express and did you find it to be of quality and was the advertised nicotine percentage what was advertised?

I would really appreciate your advice because if I get it wrong theres a chance of poisoning or any of the other disasters that go along with a 48mg nicotine containing say.... 100mg

Many thanks
Shire

I haven't ordered from ecig express and the only vendor I know of that performs its own tests of nicotine for sure is Xtreme vaping. A lot of venders get their nic there. The only quality problem I'm aware of was from Box Elder. They sent out a batch that was stronger than it was supposed to be. I believe that Totally Wicked had a problem at one point with weak nic as well.

I haven't tried one but, I've seen some posts recommending nicotine test kits that are available on ebay. Since I currently have a 2 year supply of nic I'll probably be getting one soon just to check whether it's loosing it's strength. This is the one I'm thinking about.

You can find more information about nic and DIY in general in the DIY e-liquid section of the forum.

One would have to do similar tests necessary to determine the nicotine percentages as Tim/linnx said was done at ecigexpress - titration by weight, GC/MS gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Looks like he's sending you that infomation -

...which for me, would be a good indication that what you have is good to go... but you could wait until you receive that confirmation. You may have to google some terms to find out what it means - but not a bad idea.

Even if there would be a vet who has purchased ejuice from ecigexpress and who test and could verify the quality of the nicotine they got, chances are that would be in a different batch than the one you have so, it really wouldn't help - unless you could identify the batch which you received.

Best for you to be absolutely certain is to get the kit that Mickey Rat has a link to and look over the other tests available in the DIY section.

My own experience with ecigexpress for ejuice has been a while ago - so it wouldn't be of much help - but the transaction was memorable as Tim threw in some "new flat tips" 510 carts! (there was a time when those flat tips didn't exist :) - they were new and I wanted to try them, so I was quite surprised.) ....and I got the order in two days - a record for me at that time - that's when he was in Ohio.
