I have probably spent $800 in the last two months changing gears up. I have been an avid vapour for about 3 years. I have bought the vast majority of my gear in China since I live in Korea where prices are ridiculous. However I am so annoyed at the quality of the clones. You wait 2-3 weeks to receive your devices (DOA) only to have to ship them back waiting another 6 weeks.

I don't feel the desire or have the finances to buy authentic. So I guess I have come to the conclusion is that you have to buy 2 of everything in the hope that one works properly. Seems a redundant way to do things but I guess in the end it still works out cheaper. Not wanting to start a copyright war, but I am really fed up with the Chinese clones.

Actually I found the Hcigar, Ehpro, and Infinite usually makes very good quality devices. Some of those even rival that of my authentics. I have found that some items from fasttech are even worth the cardboard it's wrapped in, but fasttech does sell some devices from then companies I listed. You just have to read the discussions threads more then the reviews.

I'm sure your right but Fasttech never discloses who makes the clones. Neither does Focalecig.
angelcigs I thinks does, not 100% sure. And on fasttech in the dicussions some customer will confirm if it's fasttech trash or if it was made by infinite or SXK. SXK is the main company that makes infinite and some other clones.

You're probably just unlucky.

I've had no issues with any of my 5 nemesises. 4x from FT and 1x from focalecig.
Same with my kayfuns v2s 3 of them, no issues.
And one 3.1 in plastics, no issues with that either, except that one whistles ablit.
Gaia RDA, same here no problems at all. I would complain abit on the tiny post holes though, but that's by design.

Number one rule to ordering clones is to read about them on the discussions page. And read the reviews on it.

Agree with this. With all the different products, reading the reviews will help you to determine which part number is better due to who makes it. Have followed this procedure with my last 3 purchases from FT and have zero complaints with product recieved.

It's of course a matter of luck (especially with spare resistances) but for mods, if you look closely at the reviews and only buy something that has a minimum of 4 stars and over - say - 50 reviews, you're really reducing the risk of getting something ....ty...

As for FT, I've always been either replaced or reimbursed for DOA or non-qualitative items. Shipping problems and delays aside (still waiting for an order from May 25 bc of batteries!!).

Sure would like to know what you spent the $800 on.
If I spent $800 on a bunch of clearo clones, I suppose that would amount to $800 worth of junk. The good news is that they make a lot of clearos in china that are not clones. Same goes for batteries, Joyetech, Kanger, Innokin are all Chinese companies.

If you want to go upscale from the starter kit stuff, wait a month and you will be able to buy an Innokin with an Evolv DNA board in it, instead of buying junk DNA clones.

If you want a mechanical mod, there are several clones that are actually pretty good .... do a little research before you spend your bucks.

There are bucket loads of RBA/RDA clones that are good, you just have to learn how to use them.

Meanwhile I'll sit here enjoying this Kayfun 3.1 clone on a Nemesis clone. Great vape BTW.

Well, ya know, vaping was invented in China and nearly all the "gear" is made there still. Were there a patent fight, they'd win.

Sounds like you're the victim of knock offs and counterfeit actually...

I've used all three you list with good results. Innokin these days. I like my VTR. Very much. :)

I read counterfeit is a serious problem there. One of the more amusing versions being the time Apple discovered fake Apple stores popping up all over. The products weren't counterfeit, the stores were...

you need to make your research before!, I love fasttech for this reason mostly over other chinese vendors, I usually wait to see the discussions and reviews of a particular thing I want. but sometimes I feel adventurous and order things that I really want without any review, just discussions can still help...
you just have to make your first purchase right.
after you have a great setup then it doesn't really matter if you need to wait a bit more time to get a DOA replacement. lets look at it like this...

I'm perfectly happy with what I have and don't NEED anything else, but I still WANT more stuff, so if it arrives bad then well I didn't needed it anyways so I could hold a little longer. not the most convenient thing but the price really makes it worth it for me.

The rule that I go with for clones is any simple mech mod, rda etc that does not have tiny tolerances such as tiny throw etc, has a 70% chance of being ok, anything that requires tight tolerance such as pressure feed for wicking (like a kayfun) I generally stay clear of.........unless curiosity gets the better of me :)

Well you can read all the reviews you want on FT. I bought an ohm reader DOA (best one they had) , bought a Vamo 5 (extremely popular) and the firing pin grommet fell out soon as I opened the box (yes fixable I know but that's not the point), bought a Taifun GT (most expensive and highest rating) and the deck was damaged. The problem is QC. 90% of people can have no problem but if you’re the 10% your F#cked. That's not to say that I haven’t had some success. Bought a couple of Nemesis mods and Kayfuns with zero problem I but I fear its always hit or miss with QC. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't take so dam long to get anything RMAed.

    My B#tch is finished :)
