A friend of mine just came over with 2 bottles of 0mg fluid and asking me if I cold add some nicotine to the fluid for him. I have 24 mg so It would be pretty weak but that's not the real issue for me. I am wondering about this fluid it has no color at all is this normal for 0mg or was he ripped off one is mild 7 it has a sweet smell the other is ry4 and it has a tobbaco smell is as best as I can describe so that tells me it is not water.

I have some 0 nicotine BWB tobacco juice and it looks exactly the same (and tastes the same) as the 18 mg juice. Same color, same consistancy.

Maybe he just has some kind of base like pg?

Base with flavor? Cause I just tried it it has flavor I am very confused right now about this and not sure if he should chuck it or if I should add some of my 24 mg to it for him.

The no color at all wouldn't concern me. The color (for the most part) comes from the flavoring, and if you can smell the flavors, then it sounds okay to me. I hope your friend knows that when you add the nicotine, it will dilute the flavor that is there. All e-juice (unless you make it yourself) is risky as far as knowing anything about it. Does it have a label? Does it "look" like it's from a reputable company? If you can smell the flavor, then I'd add a little nic and give it a try. Even if you add enough nic juice to double it's volume, you're only going to have 12mg nic juice. I'd just be concerned that there won't be much flavor left.

Pure 100% VG has a slightly sweet taste. I don't happen to have any pure PG to tell you what that tastes like but I think I've read that it's also slightly sweet. VG is thick, PG is thin. If he's just tasting something sweet with no flavor, maybe it's just 100% PG.

I'd be sort of hesitant to vape it if it was me if you don't really know what it is. Hate to see you waste your juice. Can you go to the store and get a bottle of VG? Here they sell it everywhere. You can get it at Walmart for about $3.00 a bottle. It will be thick, but you could mix some of your 24 mg with it. It's going to seriously dilute the flavor though.

It has the same label as my other juice and I have the exact flavors of 24 mg and I have VG and PG I can mix it with the exact same flavors just through me off that it is colorless and yes it has a sent and it has flavor when I vape it I can;t see it losing flavor using the same flavors though would it? In any case he just wants some nicotine in it instead of going and buying patches or something he thought that if he grabbed 0Mg fluid he could quit using it but he has realized he has to have some nicotine and he is broke so he came to me till next Friday so I can add some 24 mg mild 7 to his 0mg mild 7 I wonder though how much would give him say at least 5 to 8 mg of nicotine like ratio of 24 to 0 to make what strength.

My head is spinning - you need to make up my mind whether the 0nic juice has flavoring in it or not. If your friend got "ripped off" and there's no flavoring in his clear liquid, then adding your flavored 24mg juice to it 50-50 is going to dilute the flavor of the resulting 12mg juice by half.

If your friend's 0mg liquid actually has flavoring in it, then flavor would not be diluted from combining the two, but why then would you think there's a ripoff afoot?

Because it is clear I have never seen clear juice as I said when I smell them the both have different smells I do get some flavor when I tried them I am sure I mentioned that as well but them being clear really through me off and the flavor of his mild 7 0 mg doesn't taste the same as my 24 mg mild 7 but I was thinking that is likely to do with nicotine. At first I thought it wasn't going to be safe that is why I initially asked if 0mg fluid is usually clear but then it became clear to me that yes they can be clear and that since they have the same exact labels then it must be fine so I ended up mixing him 2 10 mil bottles to try the first was 70/30 the second was 80/20 0mg/24mg he said he didn't want to go 50/50 and that he just wanted to know there was some nicotine so how many mgs he ended up with I am not sure but he must be ok he has not called or came back. So thanks again all

Why would it be diluted if using the same flavor? like say 30% Mild 7 24 mg added to Mild 7 0 mg

Diluted, as in concentration, of nicotine, being diluted down from 24mg.

If 30% of a bottle 24mg is added to a whole bottle of 0mg,
that would be 1.3 bottle of around 5.5mg.

If 30% of a bottle 24mg is added to a bottle of 70% full 0mg,
that would make it one bottle 7.2mg.

I think that's what swedishfish is saying.

Nicotine definitely has color to it. Especially the higher the concentration. When you first buy unflavored nic, it should be as close to clear as possible. HOWEVER as soon as it is exposed to oxygen, it will start to darken. This is called oxidation. That's why the juices you are used to seeing (with nic) maybe darker..especially if they are premade and not made-to-order.

You are correct....if you mix 24mg Mild 7 with 0mg Mild 7 you will not loose flavoring (taste) because both juices are the same flavoring.....and both juices have flavoring in them......

Obviously the nic content would be diluted that was the whole point to add some nicotine to his mild 7 0mg fluid and his rye4 mg as I had said I have both these flavors in 24 mg my concern was that both of his 0 mg where colorless and as I had said I have never seen colorless juice before so I was really needing to know if someone had duped him with some other chemical that was my concern when it became clear to me that some flavored juices can be clear all was fine from there.

Yes you wil not lose actual flavoring but the finished flavor will likely be a little different as the nicotine does add to the flavor of the juice plus the TH. I have several flavor concentrates that are clear some of which after being mixed remain clear for a time anyways but they may also darken as the oxidation of the nic and juices takes place
