Question About 30q Specs

@Mooch, the following is a screen shot from the 30q spec sheet.

I was curious about the results column. Do you know how that is supposed to be interpreted? For instance, in the Hot oven row, does the 3L1 result mean that it smoked, or did it leak?

I don’t know for sure but I interpret the Hot Oven tests as three leaked. I can only guess that means none of the test cells did worse than that for that test.

Thanks for replying. I found the spec sheets interesting because it seems like you'd really have to abuse a cell to make it dangerous.

140°C is incredibly hot. I would expect cells to vent (not thermal runaway) at that high a temperature to release the internal pressure that was building up.

Yup! ~285°F. There's no sensible reason for a battery to ever be exposed to such temperatures from external influences.
