I just got my starter kit and all seems well...except, I'd like to get an idea how long these Joye 510 standard batteries should last between charges. I've heard 1-3 hours, but that would all depend on how you vape.

Let me measure it a different way and ask you. How far into one, or how many freshly filled carts per battery charge? 1 cart? 2 carts? 1/2 a cart? Mine takes about 2-3 battery charges per cart. So I get about 1/2 - 1/3 cart out of a charge. Normal or not?

I knew the batteries were bad, but wow...that is...I could get more power dragging my feet on the carpet then shocking it with my finger tip!

Edit: I did do the proper long full charge, use a few minutes, recharge, break in thing to the new batteries.

How much of your cart was gone after using up a full battery though? I really have no concept of how long they are lasting since I am switching back and forth to the pass through, mostly just using the battery powered one to avoid over heating the other one (and to test it out, being new to this). I knew the batteries were weak in advance, but like I said, mine die and require recharging about half way through a standard cart. I did not expect them to be THAT weak.

I do have a pass through that will be my primary power source, and do plan to get a couple ego/ego style batteries soon too. So I'm not too awful concerned, more just curious if my batteries are duds or if this is just how bad they really are.

Thanks for the input.

About 3 weeks old and you're getting maybe 45 minutes or less of regular puffing. I usually work 3 at once, two charging and one vaping. Probably after you're 4th battery, you'll be looking to upgrade to more powerful batteries and you'll find lots of info about that here on the forum.

Can't really answer the cart question as I usually do the cart/drip combo.

No, sorry to say, your batteries are probably not duds, they really are that bad. Ego seems like a much better choice, something we've all had to learn the hard way. Don't despair, you can keep the 510 kit as a much needed back-up or pass it on to a loved one that you want to quit.

I don't think I will bother getting any more of the standard batteries then the two that came in the kit then. I'll just go for an ego style and trash these things. From what I am seeing, they only last about 1/3 of a cart and are more or less useless anyway after the first 5 puffs (they barely put out any vapor after that) due to losing too much power. Complete junk in my book. I didn't know batteries that weak existed for any product!

I'd say that, with HEAVY vaping, I get around 90 mins from my manual 510 battery.

That's the 'nature of the beast' though. While I still like my 510's for their size, I LOVE my Ego. It uses all the same atty's etc. as the 510, but the battery life is anywhere from 8-10 hours!

Can't go wrong with an Ego IMHO.
