Question about 901 to 808 cartomizers

Ok...i bought a device that was suppost to be KR808 cartomizer friendly.

The threads do work on a 901 atty..but the cartomizers don't work.

Is there suppost to be a "slit" in the thread's somewhere ?

I thought i read this somewhere, but cannot find it.

Also..how in the world do i fix this ?

I found some adapters that work so Nevermind.
