Question about adapter in the kit

Ok.. I would post a pic but I do not have access to do that yet.. one end is usb connector, the other has a hole in it with a spikey thing. What is this??
I received one in my VK kit and I have another one from my 501 kit.

That is your USB charger. You just stick the battery in, don't screw it. The prong thingy actually goes inside the battery. I was a little nervous and even emailed Steve to make sure it was the right one since it is different from the screw chargers. He assured me it was correct.

Yikes! That almost sounds dirty doesn't it? But I can't think of any other way to say it!

Its a battery charger. Stick the batt in the spike and charge it through usb

Hard as it is to believe, that is a battery charger.

it has no threads, but instead 4 little silicone wedges that grasp the battery by friction. Simply poke the threaded end of a battery in it and press until its bottomed, then jam in your nearest usb hole for recharging (device supplying the USB must be on or if its a USB adaptor, plugged in)

LMAO yes well I felt the same way. I was Not going to just stick the battery in there without knowing exactly what it was.
