OK, I’ve been vaping for a little over 3 months now and “Love It”. I smoked for 34 years and now I’m free. I think it’s so cool how you guys and gals have come up with the mods that I’ve seen on these forms and I’m about to attempt to make one myself. I’m going to make something tubular like the “Fog Log” and I am using a Protected 18650 Battery, 3000 mah with a 901 Battery Extension from mad vapes. My question is, can I charge this battery by screwing it into the battery charger that came with my KR808D-1? On the back of the charger it says: Input - AC 100-240V 50/60 Hz, Output – DC 4.2V = 200mA. I don’t know much about electronics but it looks to be about the same as the charger that Mad Vapes sells for that battery.

Thanks

Should work just fine provided the polarity is right. Only thing is... if that 3000mAh is drained it will take 15 hours to charge it at 200mAh!

mAh - milli-Amps per hour.
So the capacity of that battery is that it can deliver 3000 milli-amps current for 1 hour and it will go from fully charged to drained. If you charge it at the same rate, 3000 milli-amps it would go from drained to fully charged in 1 hour. If you charged it at 1500 milli-amps it would go from drained to fully charged in 2 hours. etc.

General rule of thumb is that you can fast charge at 1C (that would be the the mAh rating of the battery and therefore would charge it in 1 hour). If you're wanting to extend the battery life (as in number of recharge cycles) as much as possible then you would charge it at 0.5C (full charge in 2 hours). For any of the medium sized batteries up to the 18650 the chargers usually output at least 450mAh.
