question about Chinese orders

I have made many purchases online in the past but never from out of the U.S. i got a great deal at heaven gifts, i went to them because of their review on the board. the question is, my total order was about $40 on wednesday and i was expecting a $15-25 shipping fee. there has however been no shipping fee added to my order even though it has in fact been shipped, is this normal i didnt notice a free shipping offer for any reason, and quite frankly i would be surprised if they offered one with the price of international shipping. mainly i just want the money off my debit card so i can know my balance. thank you for your time and insight.

You might have just gotten lucky. HG charged me 15 bucks.

chesterN, i have not sent an email to them as of yet, figured i would wait till their monday to do it, gives 5 days to post, ill err on the side of caution and guess $30 out of my account (will still be cheaper for what i bought than any other vendor i have found)
thornak, lol that would be great. if i did get lucky i will bring it to his attention, from how respected he is on the forums i would feel bad putting him out for shipping unintentionally.

Ditto. I ordered about $50 worth of stuff from them in the week and got free shipping as well. I'm also on their mailing list and got an email about this. Enjoy!

The HG site says that free shipping deal is over. Now they are offering juice and an lanyard to 'senior members' - those that are at the bronze, silver or gold level of discounts from earlier purchases. And I think, although I haven't checked.... an even better discount on items - you'd have to sign in first - if you have a discount status to see what the prices will be. Shipping back to $15.

thank you VERY much for the replies. all i have to say about that is "FRIGGIN SWEET". i couldnt in good conscious buy the stuff i did as cheap as i did and cheat the guy out of s&h charges. thank you for the heads up everyone.

Actually the lanyard and juice are free to anyone ordering. They don't even have a minimum order for it. I was checking their site today and saw the offer and placed an order for an atty and put the lanyard and juice in my cart and received both for free. The registered airmail was only $3. So the atty, lanyard, juice and shipping only came to $10. But if anyone wants a lanyard there are only 41 left right now and 300+ juice bottles.

I sort of wonder why people both with Chinese stuff at all. With a lot of legwork I was able to track down prices that beat the Chinese sites. There were Christmas deals involved so I'm wondering if that's it.

Once all the Christmas deals are gone is it going to be impossible to find better prices than the Chinese shops?

Ya I figured it would take a lot longer to get the airmail, especially at this time. However, the difference in the price of shipping was $3 compared to $17. I can wait a little for that. Besides it will be like getting a late Christmas present
