Question about Kanger Pro Tank replacement heads

Hi I was just wondering what exactly the rubber gasket is for on the atomizer heads used in a Kanger Pro tank/EVOD. The reason I'm asking is because I was getting a burnt taste and I found a suggestion that you should flip the rubber gasket upside down so it could wick better. I tried it and it seems to be working but I'm worried this might cause problems (leaking, damage to atty itself) because I'm not sure what the rubber gasket is used for in the first place. Any info is appreciated!

That gasket serves two purposes:
1) provides seal to the vape tube, so your liquid doesn't leak out.
2) limits liquid and airflow around the wick, to control liquid flow to the coil and keep the slight negative pressure in the tank (which also helps control liquid flow.)

I've heard of flipping the seal, but I would bet that it would allow excessive flow to thru the wick (gurgling)

Okay thanks! So far it's been working 100% better so hopefully I don't run into any problems in the future.

I've been doing this for some time now, along with removing one flavour wick (50/50 juice ratio), and it's worlds better. Every now and then I'll get a head that will start leaking a little once the tank gets to about 1/3 full but most others I can usually get mostly through the whole tank without a leak.

Just for grins I tried using a new head as it comes a couple days ago and the flavour was extremely muted to the point it was not enjoyable at all.
