Hi all, i just got my LE 80 a few days ago and its working great. I was just wondering, if i have two samsung 25r's charged all the way up, when in the mod their at 8.4ish volts. So, how low should i drain them before charging? 7.4volts?
Ok. Let me rephrase this. If i have a mod that takes 2 18650's and fully charged comes out to 8.4v. Then what would be completely empty? 7v? 5v? Is my question confusing?
If your cells are in series and their voltages are balanced (critical for safety!), then the cells will be pretty well fully discharged when they get down to about 3.2V or so...about 6.4V total.
But, you can extend the life of the cells by not discharging them down that far....7.0V total or so.
Google was my friend...the batteries are in series.
There are several precautions you need to take if using a mod that operates that way. Unless you have a good grasp on what's involved and how to keep safe, I don't recommend using a series-connected mod. Series-connected batteries need to stay relatively well balanced or there can be problems. I don't know if the LE80 has an internal battery balancing feature.
Thanks for the help friend. I do charge both batteries at the same time and make sure their at the same level. I forget what safety features it has but i know it has a few. Ill check to make sure
