Hey all you whacky mad scientists.

I am at the point here that I have tried mad amouts of eliquid. Some I love, some I hate. Some I've noticed that people just can't get certain flavors right...like coffee. I wanted to dabble in creating my own flavoring reductions as opposed to buying from different established vendors. Does anyone do this. I've seen recipies for how to create extracts or reductions but not relative to ejuice. Any tips, tricks, experiences, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Excellent thanks. What about making extracts like soaking vanilla beans in vodka, cinnamon sticks in rum, etc. Coffee was my first goal but I'm thinking about exploring this space and possibly making a go a selling fully organic juice. Any thoughts, concerns, tips, etc...

That I'm as lost as you lol, I did my thing on the fly. Wish I could help more. I would say try it, why not, the worst thing you could do is fry an atty. Experiment and get back to me. Would love to try something new you came up with.

What I did was put my coffee in a coffee filter and pour PG in it. Have a bowl under it to catch the juice as it grabs your coffee flavor. BINGO, mix it up after a few days and vape. I like it thats all I can say. The coffee flavors I bought just where bad, this way it was nice
Come on Diablo, you can say a little more. How about a rundown of your steps? How much coffee do you use? How much PG do you use? Does it have a very strong coffee taste, and do you mix it with anything else or vape it just as is? So many questions. I'd love a good coffee flavor. Coffee/Creme/Caramel. That sounds like a wonderful combonation. I could vape it all day.

lol, ok, ok, what I did was just put enough coffee in a filter like I would use for 12 cups put a rubber band around the filter and the bowl to hold it up off the bottom. I just poured PG over it till it was soaked and it started to drip into the bowl. Waited a few days till it stopped dripping out flavor then collected it. It had a mild coffee taste compared to the nasty burnt flavor of coffee juice you buy. I mixed it with my nic and vaped. Using a flavored coffee would be neat, have to try that.

About the same thing I did using water instead of PG and thank you for the post :)

Right. I suspect that what comes out of that procedure is something strong. Perhaps you can try that, and add a small amount to your liquid, then report back the differences in the methods. Meanwhile, I have to crawl under my car, on the wet ground, to re-mount my starter. This is going to suck. Laters.

I also tried this but did it a little differently. I ground up about 6 heaping tblspns of beans very finely, put that in a jar and covered with PG. I set that in my window sil (so the sun would warm it) for about 24 hrs. Then I dumped that into a coffee filter, put that in a strainer and let the PG drip out, took about 3 or 4 hrs for most of the PG to drain. I like my coffee very strong and its not strong enough for me so I plan on trying it again and letting it steep for several days. It does taste just like a cup of black coffee though!

I spent most of my life on the Midwest USA prairie. When I was young, dumb, and broke, I had a starter go out of my manual transmission car. For a couple of months, I carried car ramps in my trunk. Every single time I stopped anywhere I would get them out, and back up on the ramps before I shut it off. Since it was flat everywhere, I could always push it off the ramps, even by myself. Run to catch up with it, hop in, bang it into second, it started every time.

Note that I am not saying this is a good idea, just that it worked. It was less scary with friends to push. Even being young and dumb, this was best practiced in a parking lot, rather than rolling a driverless car out into a street.
