Question about refilling cartomizers with a similar with different flavor

About to get some juices in the mail for the first time.. and won't get my blank cartomizers in the mail for about a week after

I have some tobacco flavored carts (555, RY4, Kamel, Red) and ordered some tobacco flavored juices from a totally different company with different flavor names

Would it be better to completely clean out one of those cartomizers before refilling with the juice i'm getting in?


Or..

Will it be fine if I were to just use the reverse <something> method to remove the old juice, and put the new juice in there directly after..... will the old flavor still linger? or is this a common method that's just fine to do.

I'm asking because I don't want to waste 20+ drops in a cartomizer just to find out it tastes like crap =( thanks

I usually have pretty good luck just topping off with the new flavor. If its not too drastic of a change. Usually if I really dose them with the new flavor it works pretty good.

I seldom clean cartomizers. Just don't have much luck with it.

Of course if you really don't like the flavor that's in them now it will not work too well.

i would wash the cartos out first or else you will get the taste from the pervious juice that was in there. Unless the new juice that you are using with overpower what was in there. but from my experience when i use to refill cartos i was always able to taste both juices

I use atomizers to test new flavors, but I drip most of the time anyway. I use cartos for when I'm out and about. I fill them with the same flavor until they need to be cleaned, then I'll fill them with new flavors.

I regularly "top off" cartos with a different flavor, with a little care. Changing flavors on a carto means there will be some of the previous flavor lingering; how much depends on the strength of the flavor that was in it and the new flavor. Often the mingling of flavors is an enjoyable experience for me. If the previous flavor was just plain bad, then I would not add something new to that carto without cleaning. If you are testing new flavors I would recommend dripping on an atty first. #1 you get a better idea of the true flavor of the new juice; #2 if it is bad or you don't like it you have not wasted a good cartomizer.

unfortunately i only have carts to use (bloog pv) so i dont have an atty to experiment with

I refill used carts all the time ...sometimes if you use a flavor that logically goes together ,its great .i.e. refilling a vaniila ,or choc cart with coffee ,refilling any of above with any coffee flavor ( and vice versa ) The carts are good for 4-5 times ( at least my brand ) and then i throw em out .I cant be bothered with cleaning and dont wish to do it .If you want to clean then do it
I usually order cartos to try new flavs then only buy juice for my favs and refill those .Of course menthol and tobacco flavs go together well .

I have had good luck changing flavors when they are almost empty. except over mint. the mint flavor still lingers for a while...
